His posts are definitely the most well written on the site, and I like that he has an opinion, and I like that it shows in every post. And often it puts a smile on my face.

Re: Dark Knight/300 Producers Developing Futuristic Robin Hood Movie

Being from Denmark, this is really interesting to me. A Danish guy directing a big Hollywood movie.

Re: Larry Fessenden Directing US Remake of The Orphanage

If we get a good film out of this, I don't care if it's a remake or not. I've seen the original, and it's a decent film.

Tilda Swinton is an amazing actress, not sure about her for this role.

Re: Screenwriting Teacher/Author Blake Snyder Passes Away

Save The Cat is a very effective, well written, useful book. Blake Snyder doesn't come off as a very nice person in the book though, but I will respect him from his insight into Hollywood screenwriting. And he's definitely helped me with my own writing.

Save the Cat is a good. But one should recognize the book for what it is: It's a guide on how to write a movie with a very American Hollywood structure. Which isn't a bad thing. It's not a good thing either. It's just an effective story telling device.

Re: Comic Con: Impressions on Game-Changing Unaired Dollhouse Episode “Epitaph One”

Epitaph One really sums up how I feel about Dollhouse. It has the poor writing of season one, and it's nothing but a promise.

All through season one we had to listen to Whedon going "Just hang on till episode six, that's really where we hit our stride", and episode 6 hit and it was great. Then episode 7 hit and it was just as bad as the previous episodes.
Then Dushku began her "Episode 8 guys! And episode 12. Gonna be awesome".

And the only reason I watched this show was the promise that it might be good. Because it's Joss Whedon after all.

Now we got Epitaph One. And to me, this episode is nothing but the creators shouting at us "See! SEE! This show isn't just about a high tech brothel! Look, we have an arch! We have something planned! Oh just you wait, it's going to get real good".

I find that hard to believe though.

Re: Comic-Con: Twilight Fans Wait In Line More Than 24 Hours For New Moon Panel

My problem is that these girls seems to spend a lot of time because the lead is "hot". They seem shallow and uintellegent to me.
Furthermore, the Twilight books are very poor writing and in all honesty, if you analyze the books just a little bit, the books are very, very sexist.

I don't think it's healthy at all.

Re: Harry Potter Through Fresh Eyes: Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire; Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix

There are cases of the movies being better than the book. Definitely.

Re: Harry Potter Through Fresh Eyes: Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire; Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix

Just a note. All of the character and storyrelated qualms David has with these movies, aren't exisitng in the book. Anyone who watches these movies before reading the books are cheating themselves of a very well told story. It might not be great art og inspired writing, but it's damn entertaining, and storytelling at it's best.

And there's not one of these books you can't finish in a week, in a day if you're an avid reader.

If you have watched movies, still consider reading the books. There's A LOT of stuff in them that never made it into the movies. And a lot of it is what makes the Harry Potter books great. The battle between Voldemort and Harry Potter, good versus evil, was never as interesting as the everyday life on the school.
Something we don't get a feel for in the movies.

In my opinion, none of these movies are good movies. Some are okay, other's are truly bad.

Re: Producer Claims That He Created LOST 32 Years Ago

And why is he just doing this now?

Re: Bruno - What Did You Think?

I laughed. I laughed a lot during this movie. But I think the big difference in this movie and in Borat is that this is more obviously insulting people.
Borat's mission statement was to use the Borat character to make other people portray their own ignorance.
Bruno is more about insulting people. There are some social commentary in Bruno, but for the most part it's Sasha Baron Cohen insulting people in various ways.
I mean, a lot of those people had the right to be insulted. And a good bunch were ignorant homophobic people. Or just plain stupid, IE the parents.

But did I laugh? Yeah. Probably the movie where I laughed the most since Borat.

Re: Foot diseases make me gag

I give that game a 10/10, and I base that on absolutely nothing since it won't run on my computer.
