Have you actually found any carcasses? You've probably vacuumed thoroughly, but to get that many bites, you'd have a real infestation, not just a stray traveler, and you'd find some dead guys.

Those marks really do look like pitaryisis rosea as well (I've had both!) It could be bedbugs...If so, I hate to say it, they'll eventually wander in again from wherever they came the first time (neighboring apartments), but definitely see a doctor.

Ah, so you have noticed too! I was half worried I was making some dumb mistake or it was my "browser cache" or some infernal thing. The problem is that it's the picture that catches people's attention. Oh, well. I've been fooling around with this thing for hours now, looking for workarounds, not finding any. Definitely time to step away from the screen...
