I taught political science for years. We are a democratic republic. We're a "republic" because we're governed by representatives. We're a "democratic" republic because those representatives are elected. The fact that this system is set up via our Constitution is irrelevant.

Ashli Babbitt was warned about breaking into the chambers were House members were still present. She disobeyed orders and continued to climb through the window into the chambers, putting people's lives at risk. The shooting was certainly justified.

I don't know, Trump cozying up to Putin, a war criminal who regularly slaughters innocent civilians, is a policy I don't support. Trump Blaming America First, isn't a policy I support. Trump supporting ethanol (which has been a huge failure) and refusing to confront the problems with Medicare and Medicaid are policies I don't support. In fact, as a conservative Republican (not the fake conservatives like the Trumpers are), I can't think of too many policies of Trump that I supported.

I don't know...maybe they don't like Trump because he tried to instigate a violent insurrection to overthrow the results of an election he lost. I don't know, maybe people don't like Trump because he doesn't believe in American exceptionalism, democracy and he cozies up to America's enemies. Maybe they don't like Trump because he has zero respect for our Constitution and thinks it should be suspended to put him back in the White House despite losing an election. Come on....I am a lifelong Republican. We have to be smarter than this.
