I did this this morning, using the PDF. I couldn't believe how easy and fast it was.

But wait.

I can't get to the wordpress.org login screen. It's redirecting me to my wordpress.com login. I can't even begin to figure out what went wrong, but if I can't get to the right wp-admin login, suddenly moving to godaddy seems kind of pointless.

I didn't miss a step, which I verified by redoing the whole thing (including the WP install) three times.

After making myself crazy for a few hours, I finally stepped away from the computer. I went back later, and lo and behold, everything was working perfectly. Absolutely perfectly.

I think it just took a few hours for the DNS servers to update. In the future I will remind myself that these things require some patience. :)

Tuition wasn't the right word. Maybe I mean school fees? Maybe I just don't know what I'm talking about. But I feel like I've heard parents talking about finding money for all sorts of school-related things, like uniforms, etc.

And I should have mentioned the new book program. It was really the situation under the previous government that irked me.

You're also right, of course, about the land. Someday, when I can stand it, I'll tell you the story of the woman who lost her house in the hurricane, then spent eighteen months jumping through government hoops to get a new piece of land and materials to re-build. But she never rebuilt. She decided that she didn't like the piece of land they gave her because it was too rocky and not close enough to town. I'm pretty sure that she and her children are still just floating.

Trust me, I looked!
It can be really hard to find video of Grenadian artistes, unless it's someone like Inspector, and even then you can't necessarily find the particular song you want...

Pelau has always reminded me of a cross between paella and really good Chinese fried rice. It's my favorite Grenadian dish, especially when it's made without bones!

You're so right. I thought I was really into it, but then I broke up with that guy and haven't really paid attention since. I can, however, still totally pretend I'm into sports, and quite convincingly. It comes in handy from time to time, at work as well as play.
