Don't know where to even start looking for Linux.

Re: Linux Journal 2.0 Progress Report

Umm.. both?? Perhaps at different subscription levels. I'd really love to see the same people in the old LJ doing the same sort of stuff for the new LJ. But I also have to say that I still have 3 months of the old one to get through :(

I can see benefit from both in my day to day work, but both would be even better.

Re: Happy New Year - Linux Journal is Alive!

NO!!! The reason I subscribe to LJ is because of its technical content. For gods sake, don't dumb it down. Life is too short to have to sift the dross from the technical goodness.

Re: Happy New Year - Linux Journal is Alive!

It's not the first time I've expressed my opinion about the app, not sure I'd give it even a pass. I don't care what it is, but it needs to remember where you were last and be able to download the issues to the device for offline reading (such as in the air). I know this well get me shouted at, but Kindle comes immediately to mind. It's not open source, but it works.

Re: Happy New Year - Linux Journal is Alive!

This is fantastic news. I was wondering how I was going to keep up now. Guess I'd better get the backlog read while I can. Can we PLEASE have a decent app for reading 2.0, the last one was crap.

Re: iTWire - SMEs in the clouds over taxation returns: survey

MYOB a cloud accounting software provider!!! Not quite what I'm paying for but still a hell of a lot better than the ADSL I had.

Secondly, it won't be 3 years until its finished. I've got a client here that was told yesterday that it will be atleast 5 years before NBN will go past their place.

Re: http://aussieoutages.com/status/outlook

hotmail is dead too.

Re: iTWire - ACS Victoria says govt money will drive State’s tech sector, boost ICT jobs

For crying out loud forget free wifi, how about we get the NBN connected to places like the Bannockburn bushiness park or rolled out to properties only a few kilometers from town where we have NBN. Who the hell needs free wifi when you can't even do business email!! The nodes are there, but no one seems to know that outside the guys that installed them.

Re: iTWire - Microsoft unveils latest bid to force Windows 10 upgrades

Makes Linux look better and better every day.

Re: InCoWriMo Address Exchange 2017

So, two weeks in and still on track.
