Are you saying we health care workers are paid too much? Socialist fool. I am a RN, not only do I watch your lab work, start your IV's hang your antibiotics watch over you and communicate with your physician to keep you healthy and maybe even alive but I wipe your dirty behind when you cannot. All of that with an education too. Why do you think alot of Canadian nurses come here to work? Their pay is crap. Big socialist talk from an elitist who appears to know the system. Tell me why is it that anyone with any money at all, in these great European health systems, high tail it over to the US for care? Kinda blows all your BS huh?

Bravo Dr.! As an RN working for the last 33 yrs. I've seen more and more documentation , more and more people to oversee the documentation all to meet some entity's regulation. I now document 3 to 4 hrs out of a twelve hour day. We in health care know all too well the down side ,but suggesting the federal government getting more involved is the absolute wrong approach. They cause enough problems already they just can't help themselves ,it's the nature of the beast.Let the free market work.

I happen to believe very strongly in self relience. There have been times in my life I've been without health insurance but I sure didn't expect the government or "the rich" to provide it . I manage without whining.
