I think it just all comes down to one factor: Were the animals hurt in any way? If they WERE, then you can't do this. If they WEREN'T then you could make a case that this is no worse than dying their fur. I've never had anything pierced, so I couldn't tell ya.

A friend of mine made the point that people would be more pissed off about spending the money for a specific "breed" of dog and then getting a different "breed." I'm still not sold, though. If someone is paying this much money for the cross between a Collie and a Daschund then what the hell do they really care what they get? It's like throwing paint at a wall and seeing what sort of animal comes out. Mutts rule and should be evenly priced.

Yeah, this is beyond the border of ridiculous. There is just NO WAY that these guys should have been able to have gotten past the office. Even if you are a parent, I don't think you can just check in and then go and find your kid in a classroom. You'd have to wait for them to get paged and then come to you in the office. This is gross negligence. This is middle school stuff, cmon.

Yep. That is a PR Nightmare and I'm sure they hired someone just to field the calls from parents this morning. Not good. This is bad on many levels. It's like every adult at that school dropped the ball at the same time.

Well, in my experience at least, it's not THAT tough. First, pick an area you want to live in. I would recommend going to an apartment complex, only because shit gets fixed quick around there and cable/internet companies go there about three times a day anyway, so there isn't much of a hassle. In terms of who pays what? Split it down the middle. I would put stuff in my name (like phone etc.) But, that one you can discuss with your buds.
If you're not going to a complex, then pick an apartment where most things are included (like water/trash/heat) that way the bill is easy, you just write it to the landlord. Hooking up cable and shit requires you calling up the place, giving your address and being home when they say they will swing by.
Trust me, nothing to get all worried about. Just start looking at least AT LEAST a month before you graduate. DO NOT wait till the last minute.

My sister had to deal with this on a regular basis. But, she was dealing with kids with some mental issues. I guess, this is kinda the same thing...except that girl is just crazygonuts....wonder what is going to happen to her...

I hope they figure out that this is soooo ridiculous that they should be ashamed that it even made the public record. I mean, if they wanted to think about it in their heads, fine, but to actually think that THIS would be some sort of solution in a school district that runs the gamut of social classes......is just......awful.

It seems as though, yes, your school sucked. I just think this is ridiculous and it's not even a matter of the rich parents paying, it's just a matter of the fact that athletics are something ANY kid should have access to in a public school, period.
