The sense I'm getting from this, is that Deace heard Obeidallah call him a Muslim.
He heard a term used in relation to Islam, sharia, and in his head, he heard along the lines of 'why are you being so Muslim'.
That is why he went straight to 'why are you calling me names'.

Wasn't that part of Mother Teresa's credo? I think I read (on here?) that the order she belonged to gave bare minimum relief and lived so frugally, not to conserve resources, but because the only way to appreciate god, was through suffering and pain.

And Roe-v-Wade made abortion legal across the board, but that doesn't mean states can't put up hurdles and cause any sorts of disruptions along the way. Maybe Indiana will put in restrictions where only certain clerks can issue those licenses and they only work once a week, plus there is a minimum 24 hour wait period before they can fulfill the license?
Or as mentioned, what if they strip out the right for a spouse to inherit either property or children, or restrict adoption, so everything becomes a legal nightmare. What if all hospital visits can only be pre-authorized by the patient, you know, the one that is unconscious and needs a friendly voice to comfort them. Or the family are just as bigoted and won't give permission for the spouse to visit?
Most of those may be challenged in court, but only after the fact and as with abortion, not every challenge will win.

In other words, anything they can to make it look like they are defending 'family values'.

Except there was a segment on a show here in Canada that said some homeopathic 'practitioners' are trying to push homeopathic alternatives to vaccines.

I agree completely that the 'cold medicine' and 'sleep aids' they shill are fine, the cost can be considered a stupid-tax. But there is a line, and it seems some people will push it and try to cross it any chance they get.

The theory is that Spectrum will then start providing tiers for those numbers. Sure you can have your facebook that fast, but to keep those speeds for everyone, your Netflix is 5mbps so your selfishness doesn't clog the tubes. Does that make sense?
