Consider both. Weight and displacement. 400cc was a random decision. It's about time that lawmakers review this ridiculous law. I hope I'm still alive to see this law changed.

Hi Nick, that's easy enough. Just get the Philippine Airlines flight to Manila (check out http://philippineairlines.com). From Manila, get a flight to Butuan City (there are daily flights same airline). From Butuan, go to the Bus terminal, then take the bus going to Mangagoy, there's one bus going there every hour I think. Once you're in Mangagoy should be easy for you.

Hi xeroic, I think you can do both if you have a couple of days to spare. I think half a day in Hinatuan River is more than enough. Make sure you go there early morning though when it's at its awesomest. You can then swing over to Siargao afterwards. If you can rent a car for a day, I think you will be able to make it to Surigao City (jump off for Siargao) before nightfall. Regarding car rental in Butuan, you can always check with the City Tourism office, they have their office beside the city plaza. They usually have a list of accredited operators just so you don't get scammed. You can always get one of those city tricycles to take you there.

Yeah in terms of natural beauty alone, Palawan is peerless I think, but if you consider other things, and everything as a whole, Boracay is a more complete beach compared to those in Palawan. But that's just me.

Jonatz, you just have to take the bus from Davao going to Butuan. Also, it would help if you read the post. There are detailed instructions there.

Hi Ivy, there are still portions of Boracay that are pretty quiet. I usually stay around station 3 when I'm there so I can get away from the crowd. Try Angol Point next time. Very nice quiet resort there.

The best time is during September and October where they have these international surfing competitions and the waves are really really huge.
