M- change is in the air; I too am about to make an enormous leap into a new career and it's both exhilarating and terrifying. But we only live once and change does a body good. Wishing you both all the best in these new adventures.

Two things:
1) I just bought a pair of similar JCrew sandals and am all 'meh' over them which reminded me of these. These are half the price and so much cuter. Placing order now. My regret is they will not be here by Tuesday when I leave for Thailand. sigh.
2) I searched through your archive to find these and in going through all the months I realized that it looks really pretty when you look at your blog like that and 2a) I want you to be my stylist. Love.it.all.

If you love Skyline Chili, you need to go to Edwards in Tribeca. The last Monday of every month is 'Cincinnati' night and they have Skyline Chili and a bunch of other Cincinnati foods. I went with a co-worker (who is from Cincinnati) and it's pretty good: http://edwardsnyc.com/blog/

I just bought CEP compression socks this past week too! After a particularly brutal 18 miler on Sunday I hobbled over to the running store to buy them. Ice baths + compression socks are my new favorite things.

It is so much fun. Single-handedly one of THE most unique experiences I've ever had/participated in.

Attach yourself to the actors to "see" as much as possible. I missed out on some things because I was too enthralled with touching everything and going through things.

A friend is from Cincinnati. There's a bar/restaurant in Tribeca (that I can't remember the name) that has Cincinnati night on the last Monday of the month. He took me there and I also had the works- chili, hot dog and ice cream- all from Cincinnati. I probably had the same reaction as you, but nevertheless, he loves having it that one night a month.
