Just be sure to disable system restore. If it finds a virus in your system files directory (where a lot of virus files like to hide) Windows System Restore will assume that a file was a legit system file that was remove and put it back after it is removed. After you boot into safe mode and run the scan and remove what it finds and restart you can turn system restore back on.

1) Disable system restore from the system restore option under system tools
2) Boot your computer into safe mode with neworking so if a virus is running upon boot it won't load (hit F8 before windows screen)
3) Go to http://housecall.trendmicro... and run the free online virus scan and see what it finds. (while in safe mode)

I worked for the university and these steps usually did the trick. Good luck.

I enjoyed Built to Spill, although, I had never seen them live before so I can't compare them to the past.
