What would bother me even more is, that they kept a kid with Autism and a problem keeping his mouth quiet in the same classes as kids without learning disabilities.

The problem in Romania right now is that the politicians do not respect checks and balances and use the Constitutional Court system as a political tool against each other instead of a check and balance on the system.
Secondly, this was the craziest vote I ever heard of requiring a certain number of the population to vote to make it official.... if he is put up for a vote to be removed, after that it's up to the citizens to come out and vote or not.... if they don't vote it's their loss. It shouldn't be a requirement to meet a percentage. Voter apathy is just as much of a right as the right to vote.

I spend a lot of time in Romania, my in-laws are there and my wife is from there.... One thing I can say for sure, PSD and PDL are not pro-Russia.....

I have yet to meet a single Romanian, politically left, middle or right, that has a single nice word to say about Russia. They truly are loyal to the USA as an ally and HATE Russia. WOW.

But I fear for them... they really have a chance to get things right. My wife and I say all the time, the generation that grew up and started careers in the Communist times need to die out before there will be real respect for the system.

They are responsible. The sanctions didn't go in unannounced... they had a choice. They chose their nuclear weapons program over economic success of their nation.

If the United States, Russia and China agree there is a nuclear weapons program... they're probably right. They are not blind fools... these are the biggest powers in the World today... and I think they have some good intelligence agencies, no?

Let's get something straight. When the IAEA comes looking, the burden of proof is not on them, but rather on Iran to prove they don't have them. It's that way with the United States and Russia when it comes to nuclear disarmament programs using attache's.

This is not a court of law in New Jersey, we are talking about a rogue state with the power of the atom... enough to kill millions. The burden is on Iran to satisfy the IAEA, not the IAEA to prove Iran has something. Telling inspectors "don't look here" and "you can't look there" is not the way Iran will prove they DO NOT have a program.

Easy solution, Bri. Don't buy American and don't do business with America. Every nation has that choice, but for some reason, they are choosing to go with the international community and acting unified in sanctions, something that is not possible unless nations decide to follow the rules.

Romney did well.... I can't take that away from him. Obama came for a chat and Romney came to win.
I will say though... Romney definitely liked to play around with his facts more and I can't help but feel the same argument we have heard for 'Supply Side Economic' approach over the past 30 years sounds lovely.... but has yet to actually work, ever.

You are right to point that out.... This one definitely goes to Romney, without question, BUT he also threw out a lot of not so true factoids and rounded off his republican edges (basically changed his stance) that will probably be shoved up his rear end in the next couple of debates.

The one thing that Obama did say that struck a chord was, "how is it possible?" and that is true. Romney is selling the old gas station as a 100 acre farm. You can't cut taxes, add no new taxes and add spending to services.

Pushing things to states only means one thing, higher state taxes. It is a very cute way of passing the buck down to the States to handle... which are cash strapped as it is and, in the case of my state of New Jersey, over-taxed by property and income tax already. (despite what Gov Christie likes to say, most people had their property taxes go up quite a bit under his term)

Supply-Side Economics sounds AMAZING when you hear it... and it is very seductive, but you cannot forget that it has NEVER worked in increasing revenue. NOT ONCE. I like to dream as much as the next guy, but when we are talking about the economic soundness of our government, I would rather stick to things that work.

That argument of deficits is ridiculous. Did FDR get blamed for the Great Depression? No.
Did the Republican Party work ONCE with the President on a COMPROMISE on debt/deficit plans? No.

They held strong only wanting cuts and no taxes. When you have an economic recession to that level, how much do you think a President can do? He can't make people spend money or banks lend more or make real estate prices go up, those are all market forces.

At least after the election, I am hoping both parties will actually get real and meet in the middle and come up with real plans for spending instead of these ideological based garbage that solves absolutely nothing.

I think overall Romney performed better in the debate. I will not say otherwise because it wouldn't be true.

What bothers me about what he did say, is how many of his plans are to just push things onto the States. Where does Gov Romney think the States will get all the money for all the things he is shifting onto them? All of those ideas cost money and MANY of the States are in no position, even with partial vouchers from the Federal government, to take on a bunch of new programs and responsibilities with fragile economies, and in the case of my state of New Jersey, SUPER high property and income tax rates.

I don't like the sound of a Presidential candidate passing the buck as policy.

I did, but impressions are a very strong thing to change... even if they are untrue. Obama was less prepared, and it showed even if he was correct and Romney made up facts.

It still is politics and its a tough business. No points for being the nice guy.
