I was in an advanced rider course last week, and one of the other riders insisted that counter steering doesn't work at highway speed. I just smiled and nodded.

I've adopted the "WD-40 only" mantra and find that the time savings is huge. I spray, walk the bike forward (no center stand on the CBR250R), spray, and repeat until the chain is completely covered. Chain noise goes way down. I've not had any issues with extra wear or stretching.

Triumph continues to miss out on sales due to lack of ABS. The Moto Guzzi V7 stone II has ABS and traction control for 2015 so that is where the retro+safety crowd is going to go.

In the early days, I remember you making comments about webages having cluttered html because they were using whatever free editors were out there. Your code was always clean.

It seems no one is generating their own html content now in the web 2.0 world. We're raising a generation of kids who will never "view source" so they can get ideas for their own webpages.

So right now I'm in submarine officer school in CT, and all of our lectures are presented with PowerPoint. Bullet lists, clip art, animated text, and even... (ugh) some sound FX transitions. It's pretty awful. They could dump the bad presentations easily since all the content is in pdf manuals that are fairly well written.

I was down right inspired by the Lessig presentation. It would be great to see the military move that direction, but writing a talk and then fitting fast paced slides, graphs, and screen shots to it just doesn't jive with the lazy man's approach to ppt.
