Its so complex. Do come again sometime, our city is quite gorgeous in the summer thanks to our Mayor's green thumb.

Re: america 1

I'm sure it's a little different now, although we get more buzz sometimes because Obama lived (lives?) here. I pass by his house and the security a lot doing deliveries. Otherwise a lot of the streets still suck, and it can get pretty slow. Chicago is weird like that though.

Re: america 1

I have to like this post. For one thing I've certainly seen people with those cold stares, and seen spaces like that. The second is that I live in the Kenwood area, so I really understand the strange juxtaposition of it all. One block can have mansions, the other apartments and then lower income housing. A place with dead spaces slowly creeping in. So yeah, reasons to like this post.

Re: More over in my last post on the FLNGS blog.

That was a really beautiful post and I enjoyed reading it. Certainly some of it has matured in a way, and you know where you're more comfortable now. Personally I think it takes a lot to be willing to use yourself as a subject and model in photography, especially when it involves nudity. There's something very personal about nudity, because you're sharing your most basic of self with the world. Not everyone can do that, and many people have to somehow alter themselves in order to feel more confident, or change dramatically. So yeah, I think you've still got that "I can do anything" attitude, but maybe a bit more matured and refined.
But that's just my take on things; you're welcome to take whatever you want from that.

Re: Life is hard. I love the teachers in my department and I always stop in and talk to my advisor. Its one reason I'm a TA this year, so that I can hang out with my professor and engage them. They're there for you!"

Re: Life is hard. Hercules was crazy too. Kevin Sorbo is from somewhere North of Minneapolis. Those early 90s TV shows really sparked a great interest in Sci-fi/Fantasy, and I think it helped create a lot of smart open-minded nerds to take up the call. Kind of nerdy but fun. Also, for the adventure and taste of the extreme I'd go with Lost City of Z.

Music: I got asked this recently and don't have a good answer. I have been listening to Metric's "Fantasies" a lot lately; its really good.

Secret: Honestly I have nothing juicy to spill. Maybe that's a sad commentary on my life. Although I've done my fair share of underage drinking, and some marijuana. Maybe my biggest secret is that I honestly don't have any kind of deep dark secret yet, and that kind of makes me annoyed. Oh, but both my sister and I absolutely love COPS even though its maybe the worst show of all time for many reasons. Its awesome, I have no shame in admitting that.
