Whether you have the blue bags, blue bins or just black dumpsters everything in trash; everything goes to one place and gets sorted out.  Some city dump trunks are segregated in predefined neighborhoods w/ recycling bins, but most aren't.  Don't fret, Chicago does recycling, but you don't see it.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;If you're in large building (more than 4 units), then the dumpster companies may or may not do recycling.
