Thus, it is easy to understand that the family has brought lots of savings when they migrated to USA, to make sure the children’s education would be better than in Taiwan. And also, the father got a job as an “International Officer” for the Hokkaido Takushoku Bank. His mom would do some sewing works at home. Absolutely, the family did not need to send children to a sweatshop to make ends meet.
His family has also bought a split-level house with a two-car garage in Flushing in 1977.
The parents have realized their dream because Liu excelled in city public schools, including Bronx High School of Science and at the State University at Binghamton. However, they failed to teach children to be honest, although the family has suffered from a hard experience by telling lies – his father has been jailed for cheating his customers. Now the son copes the father.

Re: Brooklyn Downtown Star Endorses John Liu, Tish James, and Josh Skaller

Again, Liu’s money works. The newspaper does not care anything except money. Where does Liu’s money come from?
John Liu has raised over $3 millions for his election campaign. It is believed that most of the donations were given by the Chinese Communist regime through its associations in USA. He should be held to an accounting.
On March 7th, 2009, when John Liu announced his candidacy for NY City Comptroller in the Sheraton LaGuardia East Hotel in Flushing, it was announced by the Chairman of Shan Dong Association, one of the associations controlled by CCP. The Chinese regime is using Liu through its agents in the Chinese associations.
On July 2, 2008, the Fujian Chinese Consolidated Benevolent Association (FCBA) sponsored a fund raising dinner party for Liu.
The World Journal, a Taiwanese-owned, U.S.-based Chinese-language newspaper, reported on the fundraising event. According to the report, the FCBA had raised over $70,000 by July 2, 2008 for Liu’s next election campaign.
During the dinner party, someone asked Liu to run for Mayor of New York City. Liu answered, “I will run for whatever position you guys require of me.”
It was also reported in the World Journal that leaders of the FCBA gave a speech to motivate its members to help Liu reach a high position in the New York City government.
It takes huge numbers of donors and numerous fundraising events to bring in $3 million. John Liu held few fundraising events, yet his office suddenly declared he had raised $3 million, even before he decided what position he would run. It is also not easy to raise such a massive amount of money in the Chinese community, as few Chinese Americans have any interest in donating large amounts of money to politicians.
Moreover, it is believed that the actual money given by the Chinese regime for Liu’s campaign was more than $3 million. Although there is no evidence to show that he has done a great job as a Council Member or that he could be a good comptroller, Liu got many endorsements from unions, democratic clubs, and politicians. We believe many of the endorsements included money.

Re: Brooklyn Downtown Star Endorses John Liu, Tish James, and Josh Skaller

Apparently, Liu’s money works again.
Since Liu started his campaign, he has used his money to get so many endorsements. These people did not care what Liu has really done a great job as a Councilman, nor care if he has such ability and basic moral character to be a comptroller, but just care how much money he can offer.
In the past week, Daily News has given plenty evidence to prove that Liu is lying to the public:
He didn’t work in a sweatshop, but just helped his mom to do some works at home for fun. His family is a rich family from Taiwan and got much much surplus to feed children. He said he worked as a "knitting-thread manager" in Queens garment factories from 1974 to 1978. How could he become a manager at the age of 7?
