So often I have to convince my colleagues that the most important part of flipping is the increase in active learning in F2F classes.

I'm looking forward to the remaining units in this course.

Re: iBeacons, Estimote & Proximity-Triggered Marketing

Great post, Will! I am really looking forward to seeing some of the innovative ways that marketers use this technology, and hope that it is more successful than other attempts (e.g. QR Codes, and earlier NFC technology).

We'll be looking at this topic in more detail next Friday, so great to see you ahead of the game. Well done! :)

Re: I’m not a reader, Sydney Morning Herald

I assume you saw the SMH story last week featuring dozens of example of stolen photographs... Story here Hypocrites! :)

Re: Catering services Prahran

Bingo - you've hit the first page on Google with that search term, Josh. Conversations will simply move off the "official" pages, and onto the unofficial ones where they can flow freely. Additionally, the ruling applies to Facebook, and doesn't consider other platforms. How on earth can Twitter be moderated by a brand, for example.

It will be fascinating to watch this over the coming weeks.

What do others think?

Re: Tweet at the inappropriate time = social media “FAIL”

An excellent first post, Ju!

Too often we see brands trying to "cash in" on hot news issues. I find it pathetic when they attempt to link their brand to a situation where people may be injured or in distress. Pathetic!

If a company can't add real value to their customers' lives through SM , then they should get off it. AN apology is only a start, but what aout all of those who didn't complain but were still offended?

Keep up the good work!

Re: Don’t forget the idea

Welcome back to blogging, Tim. Good on them!

But, I do wonder how much of the success they will experience with this campaign is due simply to the "gimmick" factor. This is something new, so people will take the trouble to download the app, take out their phones, and view the ads via AR. It's fun because it is new and innovative. What happens in 12 months' time when a lot of these campaigns are around... will we still be prepared to get as involved in them? It all seems like a little too much trouble for something that has traditionally been seen as a low involvement activity - looking at an ad.

Re: E-marketing

Thanks so much for a fantastic three months of blogging, Carmen. The publicity they've received has been phenomenal, and now everyone knows the brand. Achieves the same outcome, really.

Competition is healthy, as it forces innovation, which benefits all users! :)

Re: http://the-social.tumblr.com/post/10237854483

Nice work.
