Through your book and the 'Cracking the Code' training course we have used all these venues and they have greatly enhanced my business and personal communications.Your way of paying people back who have loyally followed you and participated in the revolving door launches is both generous and appreciated. Hard earned knowledge with a few laughs along the way ! Many Thanks.

Re: When the conversation turns to business….

In a world of information overload all market players have access to the same information about their competitors. They are aware of each others product innovations price and quality; it is the customers who will make the company’s mistakes as visible as their successes. Learning how to filter that information and then manage the conversations going on about your brand is where the challenge is. It becomes a lot easier if you have already built a community around your brand or products, who you are giving value to and who are giving value to each other. They are there because they want to be. They have made connections and relationships around your brand... The social Traffic community started reading blogs or maybe got the first release of Simons book “Social Traffic,” but have grown to become a close mesh of individuals spread all over the world with a common anchor… their passion for Social Media and their respect for the teaching techniques that Simon has used throughout his “Cracking the Code” training course that has bonded them together with a feeling of achievement and pride.

Re: Why listen to me?

I was one of the privileged ones to actually watch how these houses worked first hand. It was how I got to meet Simon in the first place .I was running an restaurant and internet café on Bondi beach in Sydney and there were people coming in and paying their rent online through his SWTE system.. I was intrigued… In 1999 this was not the norm that it is today and it wasn’t through some big real estate portal it was from within their own page within an online application that they logged into with a user ID and password. When the restaurant finally closed Simon purchased the computers to expand his network. Each house had a computer to log all the tasks that had been completed and to pay rent. There were others in the main office which were used for people to check themselves in etc during the couple of hours a day he had allocated for check-ins. The travelers checked their points each day and they could socialize between houses and post invitations onto a communal wall inviting people from other houses to a football game or a party they could even direct message one person in one particular bed in another house. When you moved to another house within the system you had the same login details and your history was there for everyone to see if you had been a good housemate to live with or not.
Initially having a trade background I helped with some of the renovations work on the houses and general repairs. I would log on from home and print off the lists of repairs which had been submitted by the lodgers then prioritized and re assigned to a tradesperson who was living in one of the houses to do for points or to me if it required specialized tools. If I needed certain materials or needed to pass the job onto another trade it was all done from the comfort of my home, minimizing time wasting so I could just come and get everything done in one hit efficiently. From this time onwards I have been in awe of Simon’s ability to manage his human equity, motivate, filter and commend where necessary, to achieve a predetermined outcome. Watching him build Events listed and now the Social Traffic “Cracking the Code “training course has been inspirational. As one of our other community members says so eloquently in her video testimonial about the course “Simon Ford is the Real Deal Ye all” and that he is, he does nothing by halves; he immerses himself wholly into what ever he does and builds leaders who build communities helping people everywhere to realize their dreams.

Re: “Social Traffic”, code of ethics

Re-reading this now having almost completed your "Cracking the code Course" I have a far better understanding of how the mindset you were instilling into us both through your practicum’s and weekly webinars works. You were always practicing what you preach and commenting on our comments, playing devils advocate to get the conversations pumped up is all part of the bigger picture. The group strategy breaking off into pages of their own from an initial conversation is brilliant, almost like the teared structure of your article marketing strategies. Which was by the way one of my favorite parts of the course so far. I can hardly believe how far this has escalated from an idea to a fully integrated cutting edge community driven training platform … just brilliant !

Re: The quality of what you do…

Hey Simon... just as you teach "words are everything," they are too when you make contact with someone online. You are so correct when you say “You’ll just know” when asked the quality question in relation to followers or friend requests. Using the correct intonations in your words, portraying your reason for wanting to make contact and showing that you have spent time to find out about the person you are introducing yourself too all go a long way to getting off on the right foot. Before taking you’re “Cracking the Code” course I was too approaching these venues more like a numbers game friending anyone who wanted to be my friend until they did something to offend me... but I was opening them up potentially to all my friends with out even vetting them. I do thing a lot differently now. Learning about how to use business pages and syndicate Notes to get my messages out to a broader audience has really helped... Can’t wait for the final Face Book training videos to be released so I can really get stuck into using all the functionality intelligently and with purpose.

Re: The quality of what you do…

I think you should use this little video up a stsndard reply to that list you talk about, knock them into shape, and if you change the mindset of even 5% of them you will be doing some good .. it would be interesting to see how many reply... and want to know more ..!

Re: If you were a corporation, what’s your stock worth?

I now think in terms of my stock worth in all online and offline relationships that I have, of how everything I do or say affects someone else’s. Living in a transparent world where the value you add to peoples lives is accountable and the quality of products you evangelize are easily checked your reputation and authority is continually and forever being updated with every keystroke. As web 2.0 - 3.0 evolves we really are the sensors with our feedback creating the structure of the very thing we are using to search. I now think in terms of my stock worth in all online and offline relationships that I have, of how everything I do or say affects someone else’s. I have not of course learned this from one post.. but from following Simon’s lead, reading his book “Social Traffic” and more recently participating in the “Cracking the code” 10 week course he has developed . The web is free, information is free but learning how to interpret and use that information to engage with the “always on” web, to give and receive value from it, is a skill that needs to be learned and taken very seriously...

Re: Our Social Traffic (2) journey together…

Simon has a fantastic insight into the future of digital marketing he watches the environment changing, understands the algorithms and how to track online behavior then analyze it for use in the business environment. The Social Traffic community has been built by people from all walks of life who have been eager to give their time for the great value they are receiving in return. None of us had any idea how much we would receive or how the friendships we made would develop. There was no financial gain, the currency was knowledge and the condition for receiving it, participation. Don’t buy the book and leave it on the shelf, because when you eventually get round to reading it the last chapter will have changed without you. The next chapter is being written by all of us and together we will go down in history as pioneers, leaving markers for others to follow across this ever fluid media landscape…I am so very grateful to be a part of this opportunity

Re: Just To Recap A Few Important Points From The Book

Great summary of some of the venues you need to be engaged in to really be on the web as a business, treating every product launch as an event and syndicating content about it across multiple platforms...benefiting from their rankings is really smart too....

Re: ST “Soul Searching” contest for teams - Part 2

Well our team is strong and yes we have been well trained ... let the contest begin. Being the distributor of this content helps you build a following... being an aggregator of this content and re distributing it with your own spin takes you a bit higher on the ladder of reputation but being the creator and distributor of great relevant and recent content which is actionable and results driven takes you into a whole new league.
That is when you become an innovator an authority and an influencer. This is why I follow your posts Simon, you fall neatly into this category in fact I believe you are re- defining it with the amount off great free content you produce weekly.
So where’s the commercial intent? There is usually a sales funnel eventually, unless you were only looking for a bit of recognition and an ego boost.
Through your content I found your course in Social Media, as you know I am now coming to the completion of it and to those reading this post... this was singularly one of the best decisions I have made in my online of offline career. The hand held tuition that “Social Traffic” avails to each and every student is beyond question the best I have ever seen online... Where does the free line end? Where YOU want it to... when YOU decide to grab hold of the opportunities in front of you and make a decision to ACT

Success is just a long string of good decisions... What will yours be..?

Re: Using Trackur for keeping track of your online reputation

Looks like Trakur could be a great asset to any Event Planner I’ve used hash tags # on twitter and searched keywords on Google manually but this looks like it gives you great targeted analytical data and graphic illustrations to work off… cool ! I liked the tip about keeping the message consistent over different platforms at the same time stamp. I hadn't thought of that strategically, I use different venues to share different subjects with different niche groups of people who have various interests, but with your online identity being so connected I can see the mixed messages this could give an audience. We all have many pieces that make up our whole identity. My business interests are different from my ecological endevours ... so people will eventually get a complete picture of the whole.
So if I stumble across a great site about wind farms and eco projects should I not pulse it out immediately, amongst other posts about social media training and education which is where buy business interests lie, but bookmark it to stream out later when I am focusing on that space ?

Re: Twitzu

Sounds like a cool application building your own event page sending invites and with built in RSVP's, tracking attendees to see who’s coming … I’ll be checking Twitzu out for sure!

Re: Its all about the buzzz..

I arree its truly a powerful tool .. I guess its like when you buy a certain make or color of car you suddenly see them everywhere. Now I am looking I see all the different tactics being used offline .. but until I did your course I had no Idea how I would even start to do this for an event or product online .. I am daily amazed at how well the techniques you teach work once you spend the time to "read the instructions" follow the videos and participate. If you have a problem .. call your mentor. I have now joined several "Meet’ups” in Sydney.
My experience to date has been fantastic! We usually have a presentation by one of the members or a guest and then socialize with people who understand what we are talking about and are actually engaged and interested. My own personal social network doesn’t GET IT and so it is really good to physically interact with people who do. They take place in a private bar at a city pub... we usually then go down to the main area, have a meal together in the bistro and network. I highly recommend getting out from behind that keyboard once a week and making local connections with other people in the online world .these connections could become extremely valuable moving forward

Re: Seed launch tactics

Great post about the Launch ...
