The other day on the ABC i think it was, i clocked an inspired painting of a house, father in the garden, and a billy cart. Blew me away, genius. The Mombassa.. he has the voodoo he does so well.. Go son.

Best gun control advertising I've seen. Period. That said, and living in Sydney Australia, and not knowing what living in America is like. Having a weapon inside my house that could actually kill anything, let along a human, leaves me cold. Why Americans think they need 'A Gun' is very very strange. I clocked a picture posted on FB the other day, an American woman pushing a shopping trolly, baby attached, back to her car with a machine gun strapped to her back. If thats America you can keep it.

I along with three others worked on Chicain.com a digital version of ''The You Tube of publishing'', thats all proven and boxed up ready to go, (GFC) after standing back getting some perspective we realized that until there's a reusable fold out screen. One that you can stick in your wallet, pull out, and plug in a USB, that the iPad et al weren't going to make an much of an impact.! its too small, too many movements and its too slow anyway, while its great playing ''the experience game'' it doesn't give advertisers the impact that print still gives them.! on a positive note there, there is as we speak a nano tech version being created as we speak, saying it will be available in 3 yrs, when that arrives, that will be the paradigm shift:

Tell me, anyone, please..! who the hell dress' like this anymore.? this is sooooooooo old, I loved Vanity Fair but i just had had enough of that old-school bleating on about how great the old days used to be, which in itself isn't all bad, its they do it every issue, there's a new world out there chaps get out there and breath it in.!

There's only so much on the same footpath I'd imagine.? will it be back to the future for the gang wars of distribution.? still, there is room at the inn for a ''truly great free mag'' whoever starts giving away ''the killer mag'' quality paper and brilliant content, thats a first to market component. we wait with baited breath and wagging tongues.!

Yeah its a hard won..Magazines are still cool, no doubt, but how do they stay relevant today.? everyone says this is the holy grail for print.? eg; how do they stay in the game, Please indulge me here chaps...A, get and keep a bloodly good editor B, the same applies for a brilliant art director, photographers and writers, stop cramming your pages with bite sized pointless information, be a magazine worth keeping, that way Im still looking at the ad pages.! 10 years ago i and many others used to collect mags.! do i now.? no.! why.? because there now put together by the accounts dept, to stay relevent BE WHAT YOU ARE, magazines were great but people who control them now should never have been let into the room, their visually illiterate, or so it would seem. magazines have simply become dull, why would i want that.? jesus its not brain surgery people.? look at what Fabian Barons done for Interview magazine, brilliant.!

Maybe they should try a test run for 6-12 months with ''a pay what you think its worth'' model.? that should sort the children out.? there are several sites I'd sub to if that were an option, most people know these things cost, what needs to be pointed out in BIG letters is newspapaers/magazine's can't keep giving their content away free, if totally free continues will there be anything left worth reading. i find it strange that some imagine this stuff just appears from a magic bottle.! the problem is they shouldn't have let it out free in the first place.
