1973 Measure A wasn't about stopping the demolition of victorians. That is romantic false revisionist history painted by the no on Z campaign but it's not true. If you go back to arguments at the time it was all dog whistles and racist baiting language and made a "tax increase" argument. NOTHING was said about preservation of homes in any arguments or campaign statements. The measure itself says nothing about preservation. Article 28 of the charter passed years later actually protects homes.

They have employee shuttle from the main street ferry assuming you live near a ferry. There is also a bus line from BART that drops off about a mile away on the base too.

I think the way the question and only two possible answers presented here for the reader to choose from creates a classic false dilemma fallacy. The article assumes that homeless population would remain the same after the homeless receive care and this move would only move homeless around, namely into Alameda during treatment, when in fact the facility would aid in the placement of the vast majority of homeless they take care of into permanent housing lowering the number of homeless in the end (assuming the person isn’t there to receive hospice and die with dignity in the facility). If the facilities goals are met we should see a net decrease in unhoused homeless through our county that could end up in Alameda anyways as they vast majority are sitting right at our borders. The ongoing problem is the less we do to serve the homeless of the entire system the more the homeless population will increase everywhere including in Alameda.

CFSSL name is overloaded with CoreFoundation's CFNetwork SSL socket names :-) as an apple mac and iOS developer I was very confused.

Or you can save your self the headaches and just use Apportable. Native Objective-C on both iOS and Android but it also supports C++ without all the headaches on Android with the NDK. It will save you a lot of time.

The problem with some of those benchmarks is that the RAZR i has an ARM emulator for apps that are not posting X86 builds that use the SDK. Some of these tools use JNI and emulate ARM which is going run slower than the native speed could get too. Given that the benchmarks are comparable, it's not bad, but when the native benchmarking tools come out it's going to be insanely better.

What? no. They can profit directly all they want. You can sell GPL and other open source licensed code all you want. As long as you provide the source when doing it (in the GPL case). I'm not sure where ad revenue comes in.

wrong. you cant equate what Motorola did before the Google purchase as representing Google now. The sale of Motorola to Google is less then a month ago dude. Google doesn't sue more. Motorola did.

Motorola is completely independent subsidiary now of Google. Integration hasn't even barely started.

Google hardly sues. They take a patent defense strategy and they don't seek out licenses like Microsoft does. Patents are not a revenue source for Google like it is for Microsoft.
