You've not answered the question.
My religious experience is unique to me. Your experience is your own. Neither is germane to the question.
Why would a person who has a stated disbelief of a religious ceremony feel they have a right to attend those same ceremonies?

At one point in my life, I felt an affinity with the Republican party. I then changed my beliefs and left that party. I don't demand to stay on their mailing lists, vote in their primaries or serve as a delegate at their conventions.

Why would a person who has decided that Mormonism is not true want to pray in that church, perform baptisms, or attend any temple ceremonies?

You didn't answer the question. Our existence before becoming spirit children of our Father is not much described to us in the Scriptures.

The answer you gave refers to our existence after becoming spirit children. Jesus Christ showed his spirit body to the brother of Jared. Also, The Family Proclamation specifically refers to being a spirit son or daughter of the Father.

We very well could have had gender before becoming spirit children. Or not. It's speculation either way.

I like Terryl Givens idea that we, as intelligence, chose to become a spirit child of God. Our Father does not force anyone. We could have easily chosen male or female at the time we chose to be born as a spirit. Or not. It's just speculation.

I've wondered about Jacob's use of this allegory. Jacob was born in the wilderness. He would know nothing about olives and olive trees. There were none in the Americas until the Spaniards brought them.
Jacob could have easily learned about olives from Nephi and others who had lived in the Levant. But most of those people would have been gone by the time Jacob was called to be a prophet.
Jacob 5 seems to be a direct copy and paste from the Brass Plates. That brings me back to Jacob's motivation for including the allegory in his writings. This doesn't seem to be the best text for teaching the people of his time. I wouldn't resonate with them as it would in the Mediterranean coasts.
I'm tenitavely concluding that the allegory was included by Jacob and then by Mormon solely for the edification of the modern reader.
Am I missing something here?

This post is not Common Core. No matter what you think of Common Core, and I probably agree with much of what you believe, this questionnaire is not part of that discussion. This is a hoax. It is not part of Common Core. If you use this falsified post as part of your reasoning about Common Core, you are in error.

The folks who like Common Core will point out that you believe the hoaxes about CC and discredit anything else you may say, True or not.

Speech disorders are often caused by external forces. A child could be reacting to parents divorce or abuse that no one knows about yet or a number of things.
The list doesn't apply to everybody. And the all questions don't necessarily get asked.

Have you ever filled out a medical history at a doctor's office? That information is personal. Is it any of her business to know what might be causing your problem?

The questions are not directed at first grade students. The form is a tool to help therapists know how to help individual students.
Who ever posted this hoax left the instructions and label on the form and claimed it went to first graders. Look at the title of the test. Look at the instructions. You can see that the form is for adults to use. The adult does not ask students these questions.
The handwriting in the margins was done by somebody who didn't understand the form or who willfully wrote lies in order to get a reaction.
Either way. It is irresponsible to keep the hoax going. There is no thought behind the post. Thoughtless women.

I would hate to see Furcal leave the Dodgers. He's a great hitter and been a productive lead off hitter.

I just don't think we're interested in keeping damaged goods. He played with an ankle injury for most of '07, probably should have gone on DL. He had the back thing this year. His return was really to short to tell, but it looks like it will be OK.

Good luck if you get him back.

Any chance you'd like Andru Jones back too?

We talked about Korihor in GD today. I'm seeing similarities.

People are free to do and believe whatever they want. If they choose to oppose the prophet, that's their right. But they shouldn't be surprised to find they are outside of the Church.
