I have an idea - why not contact the developer and ask them where the value in the application is? Might be worth it to see where they see the value is.

This is the kind of thing you pick up the phone and call Apple about. They may have a workaround. Are you buying your audio books from iTunes or from Audible?

Yup. Parallels has a similar feature, called Coherence Mode. It's neat, but damn, it's creepy to see those Windows apps floating around.

And, in case you were looking for another way to get it iSync out of your menu bar, launch iSync, go to Preferences, and deselect "Show in Menu Bar".

I own a first-gen MacBook Pro and I have to say that I've really enjoyed it. What I'd suggest is to head down to your local Apple store (if you are so fortunate as to have one) or Apple dealer and try out a Mac Book and a Mac Book Pro - see how you like them.

Hands-on experience frequently answers the question of which to get.

I have often wondered where the heck the iSight cameras went - *why* did Apple discontinue them, when they were so highly valued by users? Sure, they might have been due to put them in monitors, by why the delay?

As if Apple will tell us. :-/
