2) The house from "Father of The Bride" - White with black shutters - Connecticut
3) The house in "Baby Boom" - Vermont Farm House with a duck pond
4) The apartment in "Hannah and Her Sisters" - NYC actual apt. of Mia Farrow
5) The house in "Out of Africa" - farm house in Kenya

Definitely breakfast BUT eating it on the road when your'e on vacation is the best. A stack of pancakes or Belgium waffles, crisp bacon and a giant latte to take in the car. Or bacon and eggs with home fries, fresh o.j. and good coffee (hard to find on the road though, unless you're in a Starbuck or Second Cup area of a city). Cereal is good and especially steel cut oats, but I can have THAT every day, so the aforementioned is my favourite. Didn't actually get to breakfast today.. had an early yoga class and didn't want to eat, then ran errands, and just got home 5 hours later... just brewing some fresh ground coffee and getting set to relax with a yummy sandwich...not what I intended but couldn't wait.

1- You have the right to question authority figures, such as doctors - they can be wrong, so take control, do some research, and get a second and/or third opinion before accepting a serious diagnosis and/or prognosis.

2- HRT - Bio Identical hormones can help - get medically tested to see where your hormone levels really are (blood, saliva & hair). If you're suffering and have no quality of life, your hormone levels are likely too low. Don't accept it when you're told your hormones are fine and that it's normal at your age, etc. You don't need to suffer. It's not in your head. You may need all 3 hormones.. seek an expert, get tested and get your life back.

The meal we had at Mario Butali's restaurant, Pizzeria Mozza in L.A. this Christmas.

One appetizer was rustic bread soaked in garlic oil, served with this incredible cheese melted with basil and truffle oil and tiny, vine tomatoes that were roasted. You scoop it all up with this bread. The second appetizer was deep fried, zucchini flowerettes that were filled with melting goat cheese.

The 'Bianca' thin crust pizza (white pizza is my favourite) was one of the best ever - also had a drizzling of truffle oil on it. And the desserts (we ordered two for the table of 4, to share. Both were creamy puddings, one caramel with sea salt and tiny rosemary and ginger, cookies. The other was butterscotch with salted, Spanish peanuts. We groaned and moaned through the whole thing. Google "best appetizers in L.A." and see what people say.

Brilliant white, long sleeved, cotton shirts (turned up) with stand-up collars and a pair of baggy, faded 'boyfriend' jeans. Same look on men except for the 'stand-up' collar. Yummy...

Wow! Where did you hear that story of Oprah's success? She was given an opportunity to go to Chicago and compete directly against Phil Donahue (talk show host). She was advised not to but she had a sense that it was the right thing to do. She slowly developed an audience going head to head with Donahue and in the end, she won the ratings game. Eventually, she was able to syndicate her show (advise from friend and movie critic Ebert). She was 'tapped' by Steven Spielberg for the part of Sophia for The Colour Purple which earned her an Oscar nomination. She then created HARPO - and there's a whole other story behind that too.

But, probably the most important thing to me is that I don't want to die alone - I just want to drift off to sleep in the arms of someone who knows and loves me. Like Daniel, I have several books in me. One is based on my my mother's life, a story that should be told. Before she passed away, I tried to get as much detail as possible but she had great difficulty with time lines, so I will have to embellish and make certain assumptions, but the 'main events' will stand on their own regardless.

I also will write about my own childhood - a fearful, abused child who knew she would do something important some day. And, there's a play in me, a children's story or three and a lot of essays. I just wish I knew why I procrastinate?
