You could also use the Money Field for cost. Which stores currency as well as value. Also to edit the page you need to hit the login button in the bottom right and once your logged in you should see an edit screen.

db/build is the old database rebuild URL. You can still use it (eg its quite useful via CLI) but as of 2.3 you should be using dev/build

The Forum and the IRC are the places you want to look for advice and constant conversations. You can see from the showcase that the CMS is being used fairly actively. Comments in the docs / api arent really going to spark up much discussion.

Well Its a pretty easy thing to solve - just use a higher spec in your IE stylesheet eg if you want to override

.classname p just use html .classname p

It uses the '$project' setting in your _config file where $project is your folder name

This error normally comes up when your server is running PHP4 instead of PHP5. Make sure your server has PHP5 enabled.

This is a legacy issue that probably needs to be cleaned up. I think there is a ticket for the next version to remove the references to css/ images/ etc from sitename as to not confuse... You could build it whereever you wanted actually but the recommendation is all your php in the sitename folder and all your templates, images etc in themes/sitename/

Sorry Hector, to clear things up the Installer should create the _config file with your database details for you. If you dont use the installer script (which you dont need too) then you can create it by hand.

Did you install silverstripe your self or does GoDaddy provide a installation service for it? Normally you should just create the _config.php file when you run the installer.

Each 'Module' has its own _config.php file. So the _config.php under auth_openid controls the config for that module. While it would work fine to have your config code in there I wouldn't recommend it :D

You should keep your config options to a) mysite/_config.php or tutorial/_config.php depending on what option you selected at the install process.

Content as in the CMS? Or you HTML Template?.

You can embed js anyway you want in the template. As for JS in the HTML Editor in the CMS - you can't. You can enter html by clicking the HTML button but it will strip any JS out.
