Putting it on the underside would absolutely effect aero. A great amount of the aero comes from the floor design and teams are always keen to keep the underside of their cars covered and also painted in a manner to make it difficult to discern what the design is.

My assumption is that it would be considered active aero as the rules are currently written. It changes the airflow over (or under) the car and it's controlled by the driver. Therefore, it's active aero. Hell, they considered the blown diffuser to be active aero. (Blown diffuser is when the teams were retarding engine ignition to enable exhaust gasses to exit the car in such a fashion that the gasses traveled over aerodynamic bodywork to provide more downforce. The active or moving part of all of this was the piston of the engine.)

Unfortunately, it's not the case. Current bin space was designed when people were not charged to check a bag on most airlines. They will only fit about 80% of the flight's carry-on bags. Charging to check a bag is absurd as the bag is still on the plane and consuming the largest cost - fuel. There's a minimal additional cost to service the bag through baggage claim and airlines saw it as a way to create more revenue.

They likely already are. Various agencies have declined FOIA requests by the EFF to find out what drones are over US airspace. They'll likely be suing to find out.

The "GDR" was German Democratic Republic (or as we know it, "East Germany"). In German, the DDR, "Deutsche Demokratische Republik."

While the wall fell 9 NOV 1989, reunification was not complete until 3 OCT 1990. I assume this match occurred before that date.

Actually, if you look at their 10K for FY1997 you'll see that they had about 1.2B in cash and cash equivalents. Their statement of cash flows was also piss poor and there was no clear delineation as to who their product lineup was selling to.

When you've got 1.2B in the bank, 150M is a big chunk of cash, granted that it was a direct stock purchase. The other thing that the Microsoft investment did (and shows that you're thinking very shortsightedly with your statement on Microsoft's investment) was guarantee Office to the Mac platform for a period of 5 years and also went a long way to settling outstanding lawsuits between the two. That 150M agreement meant that the Office platform would be there, Apple could focus their attention on products not lawsuits, and cleared the air of a lot of bad blood between the two companies. It certainly turned out to be worth far more than the 150M investment when all is said, done and tolled.

1996 was most definitely the year that Apple nearly went bust.

It does look faked. While the typeface matches, there's no shimmer to the "Weißwurst" like there is on the rest of the foil.

Near the place a grew up, a few towns over, there was a factory that sold unfinished furniture. All hand crafted stuff that you can buy and just finish it how you like. It wasn't much more expensive than what you'd buy in a normal store because it was right from the factory. But, it was much higher quality (i.e. solid wood and not particle board).

I'd say try and find a furniture factory-type place like that.

It's not bigoted when I stick up for myself because you've accused me of doing something I obviously didn't do. A quick little google of "define bigot" brings back "a prejudiced person who is intolerant of any opinions differing from his own." Yeah, that's pretty much what I thought it meant and by that definition, I'm certainly not a bigot. I'm always up for a good rousing debate on all kinds of issues... take a look through my tumblr and you'll probably find some that are near and dear to my heart.

I may have an opinion on an issue and will stick to it, but I'll absolutely debate anyone about it. And you know what? If you present some compelling evidence for me to change my opinion, I may reconsider my position! I've certainly been known to change opinions on things before and not just on some minor issues either.

I'm not a card carrying member of the Temperance Union and sure like to throw back a few now and then, but since when has anything been "ok" because you'd been drinking? Drink drive? Yes, I'm aggressive. It's my nature. Maybe because I'm American, who knows. But being aggressive has gotten me ahead and quite well at that. I'm not about to give up doing it just because I offended you. I'm sorry that the Internet isn't a field of daisies where everyone gets along.

I understand getting behind on emails, but for christ sake, for working two jobs you seem to be posting all ding dong day long. I actually held back for *2 days*, watching you continue to post before I posted this one, hoping maybe you'd see one of my emails and I wouldn't need to call you out on it on my dumb little tumblr.

I thought that after two days of watching you continue to post that you either didn't care or didn't want to admit fault. And when you did finally admit fault, you blamed it on being drunk. Maybe Tumblr needs a Gmail-esque "goggles" feature before you post something stupid whilst hammered.

All I was looking for was an, "Oops, sorry about that... my bad." I guess that was too much because it was a reasonable request.

Also, I never asked you to explain your life to me. I'm sure it's a world of balloons and pinwheels that I don't give a shit about anyway. Oh, and a post explaining why I was annoyed is offensive to you?
