I tried Flipboard when it first came out and never really stuck with it. It just seemed like it was another way to browse everything coming from my social network. It was a prettier way for sure, but less efficient than say scrolling through a list of posts. But if they've added anything to actually make some of the content bubble to the top, I may take a look at it again.

I believe it does count title changes and such. I had a much lower number and I am pretty sure some of the people in my list didn't actually change jobs.

Hey Chris, I think this is a great thing! My mom died of Cancer so I am totally behind what you're doing. Though honestly, not being behind cancer research just because you haven't had someone close to you die would be a bit dickish, but I digress. I donate to St. Baldrick's annualy and I know my wife has been thinking about doing the Locks of Love thing for a while now. I'll bring it up to her again. Good luck!

Thanks for putting this together. I had a great time this weekend and was really glad I could meet with a lot of people who have been thinking about the same things as me.

Jobs specifically called out the fact (during yesterday's presentation) that they would not be making touch sensitive computer monitors. He basically stated that it wasn't ergonomically comfortable.

Not that he hasn't lied before...

Hey Josh, how's Ireland treating you?

I am just amazed that anything with concrete lining would be anything
close to seaworthy. But I guess kudos to them for trying it out!

I used to be more scared of snakes but my old roommate had one and
kinda forced me to walk around with it. Still, I wasn't about to grab

I added Disqus to my WP site a while back and didn't have any issues with losing comments. I believe there was just a button I pressed to import them from my current site and all was well. Disqus has worked very well as a commenting system on my site.

So that's what worries me. I think websites look alright now, but
that's probably what I though back then! What if I think the same
thing about my current website 15 years from now? Should I be
preemptively embarrassed?

I don't really know a lot of the answers ;) We probably won't be
moving for close to another year. Christa is going to finish up her
PhD and then we'll head over. I don't really know what I'll be doing.
There is a chance I may stay with my current company, or maybe I'll
do the work for which I applied to the Fulbright with. Who knows? At
the very least I suppose I could teach English, but I think there are
a lot of opportunities that I could take advantage of.

The grant is for 10 months. I may go earlier or later than Christa.
We may stay longer than the 10 months, who knows!?!

Hey guys, just listened to the show. I'd like to make two points and provide one idea as to why I love the Olympics so much.

You mentioned that the Olympics winners are not the world champions and I believe that is up to the individual sport. For example, the Olympics serve as the world championship for hockey this year, not sure if it works that way in the other sports.

Also, Roger mentioned that hockey is usually only about two countries, the two rivals. That was supposed to be true this year, it was supposed to be Canada vs Russia. Those two teams had amazing talent. America was further down in the rankings. Instead, lowly Slovakia beat Russia and put a wrench in everything. Switzerland almost beat Canada (2002 winner). Finland beat Czech Republic (1998 winner). Slovakia beat Sweden (2006 winner). My point is that there is a lot of parity in ice hockey and it's really the story of 8 or so countries and not just 2.

And why I love the Olympics? It's the ultimate opportunity to geek out. I love sport and love cheering for my country. But because it's about three weeks long, I can spend a lot of time learning all about the Olympics without having to invest months into it. I can spend a couple of hours learning about all the athletes and sports and then feel as if I am completely up to date as to what's going on.

And the Olympics usually push the technology for how they're broadcast. Although NBC really put the clamps on the broadcasting end, the online streaming was great. Anything I wanted to see was available online. I spent an hour watching all the bobsled runs with no commentators, just catching the live action as they went down the track. It was pretty amazing to be able to have the kind of coverage.

I would also suggest http://www.thesixtyone.com/ I just found it the other day and was pretty impressed with what I saw. It was a bit complicated to navigate at first but I think I've since figured it out. It's even got quests!
