I've added you in on NaNoWriMo, and thank you. I see it's not your first, you've done it a couple of years before. Excellent! I've known of it for many years but never felt drawn to take part until now, which is down to a number of factors mostly in my own head...

I find my writing period each day starts off slow, gets into a good stride and then either ends by necessity - other things needing to be done - or because I start to feel brain fatigue. While I am trying hard to hammer out the word count, and not invoke my inner editor, I don't want to end up writing absolute garbage just for the sake of competing either! So when I feel my head is tiring, I have to stop for either a few hours or the day, reluctantly but, I think, by necessity.

Definitely I'll not overdue it. Likely I'll under do my capacity today as I'm feeling the yawns striking. Ha.

I think it's important to write as much as you can but not if you start to feel fatigued - far better to take regular breaks away from the computer or notepad or whatever altogether. Good luck!

I'm going to be suffering caffeine abuse soon. Dosed up heavy this morning as we started with a write-in from midnight to 2 AM. Great time including the writing. I made it to about 1500 words in those two hours. Something tells me I could have easily done more but the laughter, music and stories slowed us down a bit. Ha.

Already experienced the same thing about leaving folks out. Inevitable is right.
As for going private, definitely useful for some things. Especially to avoid 'you don't love me anymore' comments. I do believe though that having a public list of resources is useful for sharing. Likely there aren't going to be 500 libraries you use for example.

Yes. D&D, it is about time! Seems like these folks would have been early adopters.
No doubt determining the best way to capture the experience was a tough call.

Told you so?! Yeah, maybe I'll get to say that. Hopefully more in the future than less though.

I'm working the geography thing but now am considering a private list version of each as well for those that don't want to be outed.

Also I'm avoiding labels that aren't useful to me personally, such as gay or hetero. Likewise, ethnicity isn't a big concern of mine, but ethnic interests or cooking might be.

Libel & more are my Lists concerns. I can see it getting way out of hand as well with students and bullies and cliques. That'll start taking place immediately.

Deleting a tweet can already be done, and most clients support that. It could be easier though by making it a function outside of having to dig back to find that tweet.

Twitter is already doing a better job with their API via the Twitter API blog. It is used to keep developers informed of API changes and upcoming changes.

My wish feature? show thread. Some clients already support this via following back a reply chain.

Senor Piques was a fairly decent place to have a happy hour. The food was good and our waiter was on the ball.
The lighting in the back room was dark for me, but only a few others minded it besides me.
Our host, StlConceirgeGuy, did a fine job, including lining up some free happy hour goodies.

Senor Piques is located on Manchester, West of 270, and even West of 141. The traffic getting there was a bit crazy but now that I've been there, getting back would be less frustrating.

This turned out quite well. Tweeps showed up from all over to pick apples, shop the general store and dine at the restaurant. Several pounds of apples were picked, plenty of pictures snapped, and an apple or two chomped.

Fun time. More events like this would be welcomed.

Taggart was very moved today. I was able to hand over some of the money today and he could hardly hold back the tears of joy and appreciation. He wanted every to know how thankful he is.

Senor Pique's for the win. I'm going to put this on my schedule in hopes of making it out. really enjoyed my first one of these. The crowd was quite welcoming.

I'm excited about this. This will be Pi's first such event.
Though they've got a bit to learn about online manners, they have a good reputation generally. I'm hoping to help them along in a better direction regarding Twitter and Facebook and the community there.
