If safer drinking water is your passion, go for it. Protecting ourselves from the sun is important, however the sun has undeniable beneficial aspects.
Second hand smoke is the subject of the discussion. It has no beneficial aspects and has been proven to cause cancer, no matter what the tobacco industry propaganda machine churns out; (there is no such thing as "smoker's rights"). Among other detrimental effects of second hand tobacco exposure, it also triggers asthma and severe reactions to people with COPD.
Proponents of the ability to subject others to smoker's toxic waste are helped considerably by tobacco industry propaganda. If the building trades had nearly the budget, we may not have building codes.

Potable is water that's safe to drink. Second hand smoke, being proven to be a class A carcinogen, is unsafe to breathe under any circumstances.

Effective and inclusive community based prevention which addresses all the needs of the community and creates programming and awareness to strengthen communities against ATOD (Alcohol, Tobacco and Other Drug) abuse, has been absent from our society since funding was pulled in the late 1990s. It is badly needed again.
The sad statistics of this article and across the U.S. bear out the fact that the lack of effective and much less costly prevention programs, and cessation of funding prevention efforts have resulted in a spike in illicit drug and alcohol related deaths beginning in the late 1990s. Targeting vulnerable populations and "youth", and the treatment community's use of "prevention" to funnel clients into treatment is so far, not working. We need to approach prevention of addiction in the way we find prevention and treatment for communicable diseases!

The issue here is the plain fact that smokers will no longer be able to impose
their toxic smoke on other people when in public. Expect to see

Actually, pot does meet the criteria. It's just lower on the chart because since the THC is stored in fatty tissue (think the brain as well) it's released more slowly than other addictive substances and any withdrawal symptoms are felt later and not as acutely.

Smoking cigarettes kill almost 500,000 a year in the U.S. alcohol is a factor in almost 90,000 deaths a year. Pot smoking is more damaging to lungs than cigarettes.

Service animals must be certified to serve as a service dog to one who has a disability. "Emotional support" animals are not service animals. They are in a different category. They do not need to be trained, or demonstrate that they are well socialized. It's a travesty to real service animals.

There are people with a true need for a service animal. That dog has been trained and certified. Not so with the scam "emotional support" pets. I wouldn't be surprised at all if this was one of those dogs.

That "emotional support scam is infuriating. People want their pets to travel free, and out of the carrier, so they claim they must be with their pet everywhere they go. By the way, these animals do not have to be trained, or certified. They've been a problem on flights.

subsidies keep him propped up in the saddle. The western rancher is dependent
on what is, in essence, a welfare program. The low fees paid
by ranchers to graze federal lands are only the beginning. Other subsidies include
taxpayer-supported research at western land grant universities and agricultural
exemptions that lower property taxes paid by ranchers.
There are handouts to
help with nearly every problem: drought relief, low-interest agricultural loans,
emergency livestock feed programs, emergency grazing on Conservation Reserve
Program lands, to name a few. Even many of the fences crisscrossing the West's
"open" spaces are paid for by American taxpayers.

Bundy has been sucking up taxpayer dollars with his cattle for years while profiting and without paying those minimal grazing fees. He's just another wealthy corporate welfare case, who happens to wear a cowboy hat.
