However, Nene does acknowledge that she didn't know that Kim was sick or she would not have made the comment. Whatever the sickness was or was not, Kim says she was sick, Nene says she would not have said what she said had she known. That was the actual point. But thanks for pointing that out. Lucky for me, it wasn't a direct quote. It is sickening the things people will lie about. My mother died from Colorectal cancer. It is not a subject to play with.

Do you think she really lied about the cancer though? And if she did, what emotional demons do you think she could be suffering from that would make her do something like that?

Re: Kim Zolciak Responds to Attacks on Her Wig and the Clears Up Cancer Scare

I know dahlin' and I love you for it. I love your comments, they are so full of substance. That's what sets us apart from all of the ugliness on the web. I share your feelings, but we gotta keep it classy.

Thank you so much for understanding me.

Re: Kim Zolciak Responds to Attacks on Her Wig and the Clears Up Cancer Scare

Be nice Cynnie. I agree with you that she has issues, but her weight is not an issue here, it is the fact that she could possibly be lying. That is the problem. Not everyone is a size 2. I'm sure not and I don't plan on losing 25 lbs anytime soon and I don't think anyone should expect Kim to either.

Re: Housewives, Big Hats and Fashion?

Phasion,

I thank you so much for your comments. I have noticed the same thing on the other blogs as well. I try to write my posts from a primarily unbiased POV. Of course, that doesn't always happen though because I am human and you know I have my opinions too.

I agree with you, these are just ladies trying to live their lives the best they can, the only way they know how. And I hope that at the end of the day, that is what people will see.

I for one have learned something from each of these ladies. I can' t say that I would want to hang out with or that I would want to be friends with all of them, but I can take something positive away from each one of them, keeping in mind that we really have only seen one dimension of their lives.

I am sure that if we allowed cameras to follow us around, some folks would look at us sideways too.

Thanks again for your comments and have a bootylicious day! I think it is wonderful that you have been able to avoid experiencing infidelity in your marriage. I am sure that there are others too, although aside from you, I don't know any. For the sake of discussion, I will say, you are right, trust is a big component in any relationship romantic or not. And I agree that not "all" men see women this way, but it is a growing phenomenon. It now seems as if some men throw this term around more frequently and often use the term to apply to women who are simply seeking what rightfully belongs to them or their children.

Traditionally women have been raised to believe that men will take care of them. At one time in history, this was the norm. In fact, many men did not want their wives to work at all.

Now women have careers and are very independent. Does that make the women who are still very traditional, gold diggers? Of course it doesn't. It doesn't make every traditional woman anymore a gold digger than it makes every modern man some kind of deadbeat who smirks his responsibility. The sad fact though, increasingly, and in both cases, more people are beginning to believe this way.

Re: It Is About Race

It seems as if they realized that the negative attacks aren't working, so maybe we can start focusing on the issues.

Re: It Is About Race

It is so unfortunate that people are still stuck in very old ways of thinking. If you liked the snarkiness of the original, you may not like this one. I really liked the original for what it was at the time.

The original really highlighted the backstabbing nature of women, more than likely because it was directed by a man and that is how men see us. And it had its place. However, I feel that today, women are trying to move beyond the stereotype of being catty, and back stabbing, and the remake does that.

The remake focuses more on how friendships and sisterhood are so important when we are going through things. They are most definitely two separate movies. The story line is the same, and the scene structure is for the most part the same, but the message has been updated and was something I could identify with much more than the original.

This wasn't a problem for me because I personally don't see the point of remaking a movie exactly the same as it was made originally, especially in this case since women have come so far from 1939 in our attitudes and the things that we are choosing to do with our lives these days.

I would suggest going into it with an open mind and ready for laughter. And if you like it great, and if not, there are other movies.
: )

Re: What is a Bootylicious Diva?

LOL! My family members all look at me like I am a little crazy.
I am really a mess to fly with too. Luckily one of my flight companions works with Special Ed children for a living and had a whole lot of patience with me. LOL! And to think , I lived in South Korea for two years and flew back and forth to the states 5 times. It is really kind of irrational when you think about it and yet it is what it is. Hubby says it is a control issue. Knowing me, he is probably right. :-)

Re: A Divided Spirit is Born

And on another note. Sis, sometimes we women have to make our heads spin around. This is coming from a woman who chased teenaged thugs down the street with a rake because they were messin with her babies. A woman has to do what she has to do. You can be nice about it and when that doesn't work, give em hell.

Re: A Divided Spirit is Born

Love this site.
