RT is like forwarding an email. via comes from link-blogging - see Waxy as an example: http://waxy.org/links/

Re: How to re-tweet properly

How about "RT" vs "via", which seem to be used interchangably at the moment.

To my mind, if you are directly quoting the original Tweet you should use "RT", which makes it clear that the words are not your own.

If you're simply re-posting an interesting link or picture with your own commentry you should use "Via" crediting the original person with the posting of the link but indicating that it's not a direct quote.

Re: burntwood.org - Fish and Chip Shop at Sankeys Corner, Burntwood

Test

Re: phodroid | barrydiston

Shame your photography is not as good as your newly found DIY skills.

Re: Requirements for my next phone; all or nothing

I haven't looked into the HTC Touch HD. At the time of writing this post I wouldn't even have considered it as it runs Windows Mobile. But recently I have started to dry up a bit in regards to proprietary software. I realise that at least for now, I'm probably not going to get what I'm looking for without going to Apple or Microsoft.

For the same reasons as I'm now trying out MAC OSX I'm now more keen on the iPhone. But as I'm still waiting for some £££ before it turns into reality, I might as well look at alternatives in the meantime.

Re: Requirements for my next phone; all or nothing

Have you looked at the HTC Touch HD. Similar to the iPhone but better specc'd and runs windows mobile.

I use it and, once you've got used to Windows Mobile, it's excellent.

Re: i am your canadian boyfriend

I fucking love this picture. Girls tend to do it from 13 onwards. And, boy, is that difficult.

Re: Simply Idle

I've just noticed that the camera is not focused on the glass in the foreground but what's immediately behind it.

Re: theaardvark - www.suttonfestivalofarts.co.uk

yep - you may not have linked to us without the silly URL

thanks for following the twitter feed at twitter.com/suttonart :)

Re: theaardvark - www.suttonfestivalofarts.co.uk

I hope the festival is superb and doesn't suffer too badly from immature mickey takers like me. However, you could find a sudden popularity for your website that you weren't planning and, as they say, all publicity is good publicity.

Re: Simply Idle

Sweet.
