Well said, and well very well put. Almost a little to well put. It is clear from the writings that this educated person is not and can not be Berman himself. If it's not Berman then it is someone Berman has under his spell at the moment. It is someone listening to Berman's response to all the recent webs that have been spun around his name. And like everyone this person has an opinion. The second this person called themselves an outsider was the second they gave their letter away. Details listed inside that letter that only someone else close to Berman would know. That someone else is me. And that makes whom ever wrote that last letter busted. Does the little world that surrounds this man wish to know an HONEST opinion of Berman from someone that still may or may not even really know?

Berman -

Q. Do you believe Berman has a temper problem that sometimes causes him to lose control of himself?

A. Yes

Q. Do you believe Michelle Berman suffered from a pain medication of any kind?

A. No

Q. Do you believe that Michelle Berman lied to the police about her husband Steve Berman?

A. Yes

Q. Do you believe that Michelle Berman was physically or mentally abused by Steve Berman at any time during their relationship?

A. Yes

Q. Do you believe that Steve Berman is capable of violence to his loved ones when he loses his temper?

A. Yes

Q. Do you believe that Steve Berman tried to poison his wife?

A. Yes
Explanation - It's my opinion that the "big text message" everyone is talking about was really a mistake as Berman states. And I think it saved Berman from actual charges resulting of all of this. It's my opinion that Berman was poisoning his wife with serving her that tea or possibly maybe even in her food. She had taken ill. It was working. She way dying. And then the "big text message" came unknowingly. Maybe a gift from God. An intervention. Michelle was smart enough to follow closely enough behind Berman and his outside life that she was able to come across this "big text message" that was probably truly sent by mistake and unknowingly by the sender. Michelle reads the message puts two and two together and the horses are off. It was the "big text message" that I believe saved Berman from charges.

Q. Do you believe Berman is a good person?

A. No

Q. Do you like Berman

A. Yes

Q. Do you think all of Berman's prior wives were telling the truth about his violent temper?

A. Yes

Q. Do you think Berman is mentally creditable or can be believed in anything he says?

A. No

Q. Do you think Michelle is mentally creditable or can be believed in anything she says?

A. No

Summary -

I think both Michelle and Berman are both suffering from a case of old age. Both are mentally unstable at times. Both are filled with rage at times. Both know how to lie like professionals. Michelle was abused. Physically at times but more so mentally. Berman is an egotistic control freak who lets himself get out of control when he loses his temper. I think that is Berman's political career he made some friends that have distanced themselves with Berman as a result of just how bad he has become. I think Berman is running out of friends. He gains friends at times under his charm and past popularity. Can never hold on to them for long. 1 year maybe 2. Berman has several groups of friends. I will go through each of them.

1st. Group - The people he needs for financial success (Keeps them real close to use them for personal gain)

2nd group - The People that surround his political life. (Uses them for anything he needs)

3rd group - Group 1 of 3 is church and neighbors group 2 of 3 is friends and outside friends. Lives a front type of lifestyle with group 1 and entertains himself with group 2 at group 2's expense.

Ending result

Berman will be alone in life. He will come and go through relationships as he finds unknowing and unsuspecting victims throughout his life. His greed and selfishness will lead him to be nothing more then a case of couldn't be saved Scrooge. Berman has found himself needing to act in so many different ways in his life time that I really believe he now suffers from a case of multiple personality disorder. He believes only facts of his own world at the time he is in it. If you are in favor of Berman, compliment Berman, and make Berman feel special you will have a chance to be spun into the next chapter of Berman's Web. Just be sure to take a rain coat because it rains. And when it rains it really pours!

Re: Gilbert police investigating mayor on suspicion of poisoning wife - Heat City

If one were to be an outside observer on all this, it's a VERY tough call as to who might be right and wrong. It is very hard to believe that in such a VERY public arena, Michele Berman would be afraid to leave her husband if that's really what she wanted to do. (I know that happens however with 1,000s of women every year who are not in the public eye.)

At the same time it is tremendously hard to believe that all of the drama is caused by pain medications. And if that were so, why no definitive answers from doctors who could attest generally that it could be so, or from others who know the Bermans that the mayor does and can act this way. Or others who have seen such irrational behavior.

Poisoning? That's such a whodunnit circle of "intrigue." Such innocent things could be putting 1 and 6 together and getting 5 - or they could be not so innocent. Why has none of this "tea" or drug been found? And why would she keep on drinking it of she didn't like the taste? It's unclear when she saw the text message - and if it was after she had been drinking the tea for a while it is amazingly unclear why Mayor Berman would keep such damning evidence on his phone, unless it wasn't damning at all and he just left it there as we all do. A circle.

And, of course, I'm outside of Gilbert so my observations matter not at all, but there are thousands of outside observers in Gilbert called voters. One or the other or both of them would have to be very troubled indeed for any of the allegations to be true. How much drama - but what if none of it's true - does Gilbert want in its leadership?

Re: Steve Huff's Random Lunatic News

Recommended because I really need to hear the piano with the voice in this piece, and it didn't sound right on the speakers I had. Sounded perfect on headphones, though. Thought the song might have been recorded with rather low levels.

Re: Steve Huff's Random Lunatic News

Oh, and rock out with your bad self, :-)

Re: Steve Huff's Random Lunatic News

That worked well as I wake up this Thursday morning. I'm not an audiophile but I've tried to tell people the different acoustics of listening on headphones, via some music that just needs to fill a room to sound wonderful.

I'm curious why you recommended laptop headphones in this case.

Also, obviously I appreciate the British accent in most things, but I'm not sure I like it here. Either that or I just noticed it and couldn't put it out of my head. It doesn't seem warm enough for the song or especially the - as you say - wonderful video.

-temple

Re: The Death Of The A-list

Not sure I consider myself a geek, just an accountant who has an interest and aptitude for technology more than the average CPA. I heard about this post from Twitter, which all of my accounting readers are scared to death of. Except the ones at the beginning of their careers (and a few other hybrids like me.) The 20-somethings are into everything , 24/7, and don't call it "social media." It just is. And they don't wait for permission from anyone to reach out or to give their opinion. I like that and they push and pull me to to do what I've always done, network, only using new tools. Scoble, Calacanis, Arrington? Might as well be Rocky and Bullwinkle to me and to the 20-somethings. As obscure as those cartoon characters except for the fact sometimes they show up and assume everyone is going to be entertained.

Re: The Death Of The A-list

excellent - the d-list is the new A-ist ;-) shades of but for a typo in the original, "the geek shall inherit the earth."

Re: The Death Of The A-list

It's a little black and white but I like Steve's answer.

Re: The Death Of The A-list

PPS After reading the comments, some people are in serious denial. I think it helped to have two different discussions with questions from moderators and much more intelligent questions from the audience.

I am NOT a person of faith and still I appreciate what makes others tick and informs them.

I thought both candidates did better in different areas. I would have like the same questions asked of each candidate, and whomever came second not to be able to listen to the first.

Still, except for a couple of the questions, there was strong intelligence on display. And I trust both of these candidates not t o have any desire to inject religion into the public policy arena.

Re: Room for a leap of faith

I'm sorry but that must be the two dumbest lead in paragraphs for supporting a candidate I've ever read. If you follow the progression at the Politico, one of two places that dumped this on the public, you'll see that the original "story" was the Obama campaign releasing an incomplete transcript. Why would they even bother to do this is one question.

The story then hours and hours later had an update that said the actual first line was "I'm Hillary Clinton, and I approved this message." The fact that Obama gave them the release was only in the update.

It was the combo of horrible journalism - not listening to the ad before reporting (kind of like here, actually though Politica is a de facto journalism site) - and poor actions from the Obama campaign. It's all small stuff but still ... Time magazine's blog still has the incorrect transcript up without further clarification or update.
