The honesty thing has truly kicked in since i passed the 30 mark! I suddenly realize the futility of acting, putting on the 'Church" face and being false, its not what God wants

supersimbo I'm not preaching at you and I admire people like you who don't just shrug off rants like I've just posted. I've met too many people who call themselves Christian and I reckon the main reason is to use it as a cover for the way they live their lives.Attending church regularly probably eases their conscience.I suppose I could say to an extent I've done that and worn the t-shirt. Maybe now as I slowly creep into middle age I prefer more honesty than acting.

I guess i am as guilty as the next "Christian" for being selfish at this time of year. Even as someone who works in a "Christian" workplace, this season gets so busy and frantic that some time off with family etc is usually all i look forward to. We don't spend huge amounts of money but by comparison to the vast majority of people on our planet who have little, we probably do spend too much!
Im not sure what to say David!
In light of your point, i am happier to admit that i am a bad example of a "Christian," especially right now, when i am thinking about time off work, at home, in the heat, cooking a dinner that many won't have etc etc

I think your post serves to remind me & hopefully you, that being a "Christian" is not about being around other Christians, because as you say these are sometimes people who "call themselves Christians" and often they display nothing of Christ.

it was on the floor once and i stretched to life it from a sitting position & wrecked my back haha how i managed to wipe and get outta there without needing my wife to put my trousers back on is a miracle!

if you were not reading damn emails like those you could get time to reply to my question about music/worship ministry set up stuff! I suffer from jealousy in many areas of life but never in the blog stuff, i joke that i am jealous of you & others like you BUT its just me hiding behind a man crush & deep down i know that if i had the balls to do what you do i could also command an audience this large. In the meantime, i will continue to be inspired and wonder what your bicep feels like!

anxiety, from about 12 years old, when i shifted schools. It has left me alone for long periods and then crept back up on me when i am at my weakest

unable to be in crowds, fear of any kind of travelling, cars planes boats etc, fear of being sick, i could go on and on................

Goodness i was afraid to comment after some of the volatile remarks. And i am in the Irish Bible Belt so my views were not welcome in that post!!!
also i had to set up a bookstall at a womens conference yesterday morning so in light of that experience i had some things to say BUT im glad i didnt get a chance to!
Would hate to be told to F*@k off by a far more Godly person than i, thats confusing!!
