Hi. Hope there are still people on here "keeping the faith". What do you make of this?

The piece like many others does not seem to know who is paying whom. Maybe that should have been whom is paying who, or, never mind.

I still believe this is a money laundering exercise. However that does not explain what is in it for Kennedy. That is one of the enduring mysteries.

I like all other normal people consider pedophiles to be the lowest form of life. However even the worst of them would not be stupid enough to display the worlds best known child in supermarkets and garages throughout the low countries, unless of course they were just trying to get money from the media and flights to Rothley Airport paid for by the Madeleine Fund. I think the time has come to rename the fundraising arm of Team McC to Gerry and Kate are innocent OK. I just cannot understand the media publishing these photos, it is so bloody obvious that if poor M was alive (I believe not) she would never be seen in public again. I also think it was very thoughtful of the Belgian gang to inform Scotland Yard of their impending crime. So why did they not tell us about it until after the PJ released their evidence. Were they also bound by secrecy? I think not.

The Dutch "sighting" is particularly irksome. While it is obviously nonsense, Team McCann will a) blame the PJ for not following such a wonderful lead. b) send M3 on a pointless trip. It is the second bit I find mystifying. The only explanation for throwing away £10,000 from the Find Madeleine Fund, is if it magically re-appears as £5,000 in a K&G account. Anyone got a better explanation?

John this is one of the great mysteries surrounding the release. The PJ have not yet released the report on the dogs. We were told beforehand that this was to be the case but no explanation was given. I personally live in hope that the PJ have given them rope and they will hang themselves before the damning evidence is forthcoming. The Dutch sighting is a very positive sign. Team McCann who have recently been rubbishing all unsubstantiated (paid for by Kennedy) sightings are latching on to this with glee. Why? Because they can claim that the PJ did not follow it up. They probably did. However most sane people would realise that kidnappers, pedos, whatever, do not trail their English speaking captive, with the best known face in the world, called Maggie or even Maddie into Dutch supermarkets. However that will not stop M3 going there, in the wake of the 30 reporters who have already been, and finding bugger all at enormous expense. All to convince the public that Gerry & Kate really are caring parents. Leaving no stomach unturned, particularly mine.

K refused to answer 48 questions put to her by the PJ. All the press have done is publish the questions with the quotation from Clarrie that she had every right to do so as an arguido. It is not the fact that it is done without comment that is as peculiar, as that every newspaper has done the same. It is almost like a D notice has been served. You would think one of them would have the balls to ask why a mother anxious to find her daughter refuses to answer the very obvious questions put to her by the authority trying to find a solution to the case. It has to be said also that K&G have been remarkable by their absence ever since the files were opened. One thing that this has finished is the illusion that the Portuguese were inefficient. Every I is dotted and every T crossed. Also during the investigation not a single innocent Brazilian was murdered by the PJ, amazing.

The sketch that JT gave to the PJ. I believe that the Met are looking for bundleman in relation to the Dando shooting. In the absence of another mentally retarded man, one with no facial features is their best bet? Thank god for British justice!

I am interested in others views on the David Payne conversation. It is interesting that elsewhere it is reported that in the book he asserts that JT positively identified RM as being "bundleman", when he has neither long hair nor Latin colouring. Again what do others think?

On the 3A's forum it is being widely discussed that one explanation for K&G's behaviour was that no checks were made at all on the children and that they invented these so as not to be charged with neglect. Amaral is hence suggesting that the police investigation was completely derailed before it had even begun. It would mean that the time for "an abduction" was anywhere between 8:30 and 10 pm.

Finally I was surprised after this length of time, and the importance of the arguido status emphasised by Team Mc that the lifting of that status was met with muted triumphalism. Do you think the publishing of Amaral's book could be a factor? Strange that they are trying to block it being published here. Why not sue the arse of him and spend the money looking for M?

Loved the quote from Clarrie about Amaral's book "It's a great shame that people seem more interested in making money out of Madeleine's disappearance instead of searching for her". Would that include the people who were setting up a not-for-profit company and asking for donations while the "ordinary people" in PDL were searching the neighbourhood for their daughter?

If this article is accurate Team McC are in a dilemma. If they are no longer arguidos and the files are opened then Amaral is free to publish. I have a sneaky feeling they might prefer to remain suspects. The one thing that this does explain is why police from Britain are over in Portugal, it is to protect K&G. However it still does not explain why we are paying for it. I am sure a certain ex-goalkeeper has a theory!

I am definitely going ga ga. I read in this morning's papers that Midlands Police have sent people to Portugal to suppress information to be given out by the authorities there next Monday. Please someone tell me I shall awaken to find this is a bad dream. What possible explanation can there be for tax payers sending our police over there at our expense? Have they solved all the criminal activity in Britain? What the hell is going on? Can someone please justify this action?

Sorry. The point was that the programme in question "Banged Up" was the brain-child of David Blunkett, the ex Home Secretary who appeared in the first episode. If it was filmed at the time of the disappearance then the proximity of a relative to government connection could perhaps help explain the aid given by HMG to what appear to be an undeserving couple.

Hi Lynn great to have you back. Is that what mum and dad said?

The "Amber Alert" is probably the most annoying and aggravating piece of meaningless shit that K&G have put their dubious names to. Does this mean it is now OK for parents to leave their kids alone safe in the knowledge that police forces across Europe will be alerted within hours of them being snatched. This was the simplest way for the McCanns to align themselves as victims instead of their daughter. They are sickening.

On a practical note. If Shannon Matthews went missing now, how long before the PJ were informed, if ever? I am deafened by the clatter of stable doors closing.

John as you know I sent La Pearson one of my "Mr Angry" e mails a few months ago. Her witterings are typical of middle class xenophobia in this sad little country. I would swap Lothian & Borders Police for the PJ tomorrow.

Your father has slumped to an all time low. This morning I bought a copy of the Sun and your piece about the lawyer was badly reproduced, the other one was fine. So when I went for lunch with Bryan I bought another copy. It is not the 30p, it is carrying the paper home twice in one day, especially in good weather as I cannot hide it under a grubby raincoat as most of us normal Sun readers do.

However that is not the end of my fall from grace, I have sent a letter to the Sun! This is the lowest point in my "Angry, Tunbridge Wells" career. Is this the beloved one who on the morning of her disappearance asked her loving mother "Why did you not come last night when the twins and I were crying?" She was so beloved that her parents abandoned her and her siblings for the sixth night in succession despite her plea.

If the McCanns were a pair of unemployed "chavs" in their late teens who had left their three kids under 3 years of age night after night in a council house while they went to a boozer 150 yards away for a few beers, what would "Sun Says" say then?

John if you want to start a thread on BBC fees I will join it. I find it curious that an institution that is smug, arrogant, self serving and is absolutely oblivious to public opinion should side with Kate & Gerry McCann. How very strange!

On the other hand it could have been worse when Shannon went missing, they could have asked viewers to send pictures of sightings to Michael Donovan's e-mail address. Silly me he was not a doctor.

Quite unbelievable. CM telling Sky and BBC that Team Mc had never asked for publicity it had always come from other sources! He even made the very first point I made when joining this thread that if M had been kidnapped her captors would be more likely to kill her if they felt the glare of publicity.

I still cannot believe I heard this. Is it just my telly? Have I gone mad? CM is telling us not to say anything if we see M as this would put her at risk. That would be a great idea, 14 months ago.
