That would definitely hamper things! Thanks for the reply.

Re: http://blog.beanstalkapp.com/post/23998022427

Out of curiosity, were you previously using or did you try JRuby? I'm assuming you mean MRI when you say Ruby here.

Re: Mac Pro Benchmarks: At $7,000, only 8% faster than Apple’s iMac | BGR

I wouldn't even say power users. At least how I feel like that term is used. It is for specific professionals with immensely parallel workloads. A/V work (very broad!), scientific computing, serious photography, etc.

I'm a "power user" by most definitions but merely doing things like web development won't benefit that much from this machine. An iMac – or in my case a Hackintosh – is much better value. We'll see if that changes as people find new ways to use those GPUs though.

(Granted I'm not compiling massive projects all day. Some developers have a need for 6+ cores but it's not really that common to work on such large projects. I'm just speaking for myself here.)

Re: Automatically Generate Ember Models From Rails Serializers

Thanks for sharing this! You saved me a lot of time by writing up the general method with a nice amount of detail. Much obliged.

Re: Twitterrific 5.5 for iOS 7

It doesn't have gloss on iOS 7, it's only like that on the iTunes website (and possibly on iOS 6).

Re: 64-bit confusion

The almost certainly are. My company ships an iOS library for developers and it contains x86 code to run in the simulator as well as 32-bit ARM code to run on devices using a (now) bog standard fat binary. This is standard practice for a majority of iOS libraries. We are in the process of adding 64-bit ARM code as well.

Re: Consumer Reports: The Nexus 7 sucks balls

I trust AnandTech far more than Consumer Reports, and they awarded it their silver editors' choice award[1]. Seems like most of these issues are already resolved. Even Apple has problems with new products. It's just the nature of the business and large scale manufacturing of electronics.

[1] http://www.anandtech.com/sh...

I have the 2012 Nexus 7 and for me the real problem with Android tablets lies in the app situation. I can't find high quality apps for Twitter, app.net, and RSS like I can on iOS.

(Except right now because I use Feedbin and Reeder for iPad doesn't support it yet, the best solution I have for RSS on tablets is actually Press on my Nexus 7. Mr. Reader and Slow Feeds suck balls.)

Re: Instapaper Receives Update With New Features, But You Probably Can’t Afford It

I'm confused.
