Wow, you really did a great explanation. My wife and I are photographers and we've worked with some of the biggest fashion and luxury brands around and there's a reason we spent several thousand dollars on a MATTE Eizo monitor with built in colour calibration. The vast majority of current photographers who are doing things for social media and digital just don't understand (or don't want to accept) what is a high end professional, colour managed workflow.
Also, there's a reason that professional colourists in digital cinema who are working on feature films, big budget episodic TV, and major advertising campaigns are using monitors that cost 10k to 20k. If you need to explain this to a "professional" photographer, you're wasting your life energy as there is a large contingent of people who just don't want to a accept that their 500€ Samsung monitor is not the same quality as a 2500€ Eizo!

Firstly, I used Instagram as I was trying every means to reach you and I can send you a screenshot of the DM on Instagram

Secondly I'm not the first person who has had problems to reach you. I used the contact mail or the form that was on your site and then when that was not answered, I used another mail . This other mail address was found on a discussion in a forum about how to reach you as I was not the only one that was frustrated in that their mails were not answered. It was in that discussion that someone suggested to try to DM you on Instagram as they said your account was active.

So before you slag me off you should be well aware that you are building reputation as a brand that is difficult to communicate with and/or reach.

Just take into consideration that you had a potential client that was so super motivated and excited about your products that they were trying to reach you by all means possible to buy 2 full sets of bike packing bags. I'm in Paris so the cost to me to have the bags shipped from Canada to the EU and then pay VAT and import duties is not inconsequential. This is in addition to the waiting period for your products. I could have just bought instantly available bags from another company that is sold in the EU and avoided all this cost, time and effort to buy YOUR products.

Finally, there is not even a hint of an apology in your above reply along the lines of "sorry I missed your mails" or "sorry that we were not able to connect" - just a defensive post that blames the messenger and absolves yourself of any responsibility in the matter.

I wanted to get set up with the Porcelain Rocket stuff months ago - in the fall of 2015. However my questions were never answered even though I sent mails to two different e-mails, tried Instagram, Facebook, etc! I patiently waited but no responses then I hear that all orders are closed. No matter how great the reviews are, communication with interested potential customers is non-existent and that's a total fail in my book.

I thought I'd post this here rather than start a new thread...

The class that handles the "reply" and "edit" links in the footer of each comment is ".dsq-comment-footer".

So if we want to style these links, it's just a question of creating standard css code for links.

Example:

a.dsq-comment-footer:link
{
some styles here
}

a.dsq-comment-footer:visited
{
some styles here
}

a.dsq-comment-footer:hover
{
some styles here
}

a.dsq-comment-footer:active
{
some styles here
}

Is there anything else that we should know when styling these links?

What about the link for leave a video comment?

Hi Daniel,

OK great. I followed your very simple instructions and placed the code in my template.

The numerical ID for the category I want to use is 25594.

The disqus url is: http://kamasutralovers.disq...

The code I placed between the <head> tags is:

However the comment still shows up in the general category (numerical ID = 25592) and not the music category.

What am I doing wrong. It seems so simple!!

Please elaborate!

That's exactly what was confusing me.

As there is no script being placed between the headers, just the JS code that was generated and is placed in the body of my HTML template, I don't understand where "var disqus_category_id = "###";" supposed to go.

Obviously if it needs to be part of a larger chunk of code which can be found where?

In this post you mention modifying the javascript so that we can assign posts to categories.

Could you give us those instructions here? It may save you having to re-answer over and over the same question. :-)

Duh,

User error!! My site was password protected so I tested the code on a different server and Voila...it works!

Sorry but I did not realize that the site being password protected would make a difference (not much sleep in the last 48 hours!).

So what is the step to get the comments to show up in the correct categories. What is there code that needs to be modified?

Thanks for all you speedy replies!

I've seen that FAQ before and seen that you refer to it on multiple occasions.

But how does that help me with my questions as it is talking about working with a site that is offline not a fully functioning site?

I'll ask my question again:

Is the only way to do have a full featured install of Disqus on a site that is not on a supported CMS/blogging software such as Wordpress or MovableType via the API?

The installation available to me since I am not using one of your supported blogging softwares is the " Javascript code snippet for a custom integration".

All this does is prove a link to my site's Disqus URL.

Is there a different more full featured install or code that I can grab from somewhere?

Is the only way to do an install on a CMS that you do not support via the API?
