In later years he wrote entertainment stories for one of th e Chicagoo papers using his blackberry.

That blackberry of his held so many memories. Interviews with Tony Curtis, here is a recent audio interview with Tony Curtis on his radio show:

http://podcast.wckg.com/wckg1/685819.mp3

I would imagine your blackberry holds so many good memories tthat is unavoidable getting more inspiration from that blackberry.

Re: My Quill Pen

That's a good point although I've owned about ten different blackberries over the years. That is set to grow to 3 o 1 in billions within the next 18 months.

Thus, its more of mobile web application efficiency that will drive the future of information bit flow. And not the DOA w3c mobile widget proposals or Opera web widgets, or Nokia WRT, or Motorola web widgets.

Real mobile web applications that integrate vi javascript with device functions such as GPS and etc. Its no longer a desktop web any more where Enterprise Java had a fighting chance but a brand new wave of change.

Fred, you going to see a brand new industry take shape in a very short time period at a very rapid pace that might be even faster than the time to get a world wide web.

This new growth i snot only tied to mobile internet growth but also tied to both direct cloud computing such as Amazon's Web services but also social cloud computing services such as Gnip, FF, Twitter, Google, Brightkite, and etc.

Okay back to code, I want my read GPs coords vai javascript in Android working this weekend..

Re: ShareMe -The Mobile Future : Weblog

Thansk Ed..its on my to do list..should be in place tomorrow

Re: If You've Got Suggestions For Boxee ....

Fred,

I will turn n in some feedback as in my experience of having written UI libraries before I did notice some minor quirks that should be addressed.

Despite the mi nor quirks a real great service and lve the fact that the client can be installed on Linux..

Re: Should Michael Arrington Be Invited Back At LeWeb Next Year?

Loic I think there are some miss understnadings here..

Lok at my comments on MA's techcrunch I high light one of them that venture capital and PE are still very much non internet geolocation focused things and thus Europe and rest of the world faces obstacles that Silicon Valley does not in terms of geolocation of capital an its procurement and that effect on startup growth.

The startup I was involved with in the winter and spring of this year was focused on making pe and captial more accessible via internet to remove those obstacles and thus I am well versed in that subject. as far challenges involved.

Re: Apologies for organizational issues at LeWeb

Loic,

Sorry that you had trouble with organizing LeWeb. No, not something as trivial as a sponsored app but something way more interactive and fun.

Will we see Mobile Ad Network sponsored and rewarded mobile app development on iPhone and Android? Isee some baby steps towards this but would be interesting if bigger steps are seen.

Re: A Lost Decade - But Not For Everyone

If emerging markets has value, is buy outs by big players in those markets how an investor may gain reward without exactly the company going public? I guess it only work if the deal was mostly cash or stock of buyer or both?

For example, Google or Apple or Nokia could buy out a mobile web app dev start up that is targeting those touch screen devices with webkit browsers such as iPhone, Android, SymbianOS9 5th edition well okay that is a personal example :)

Okay back to my Darwin OS install to get the ipHone emulator running..

I should have word today on that other pesky seed capital funding issue with a PE person

85% common code base across Android, iPh0one, and SymbianOS9 5th edition touchscreen devices :)

Consumer LBS the easy way with no Server or very server infrastructure development..

Still working on getting someone to get me a MacOSX Laptop for x-mas for the cause..

Re: 24 hours with a G1 Google Phone

Loic, I may have something of a surprise..a 'iPhone/Android
clone??

It has features that are currently lacking..

No, Mik Bry does not yet know as I have been secret about it....Videos coming via Youtube, Seesmic, and etc in a very short time..

Yes, have to hack up a seesmic client to demo the device of course..:)

Re: The Stupidest Answer In The World

I face the same problem right now..

There is chance and opportunity to me to make a customize Mobile LInux OSes play as that is still growing. But the companies entering to upset Apple iPhone and Google's Android usually have already spent most of seed capital on the hardware part..

The business model I have come up with is choose some quality OEMs with bleeding edge hardware and offer a mix of small cash upfront and huge stock equity. We know that one bet will pan out or maybe several as I use methods to get ahead of big OEM player launches of new devices.

The problem is always application and execution of limited resources.. for example my seed capital is somewhat dangerously small.

However, the business is there and I have my first client..

Mobile Operators and OEMs are really lookign for better choices than Apple iPhone and Google Android lock-ins to bring devices to consumers..

Fred, if you know anybody who might be interested in Web 2.0 cellphone investment adventures please give my contact info to them.

Yes, over long term I need a more complex business model mix..working on it.

Re: Tough times. Remember the biggest growth is not US cell but Asian Cell and that smaller players in the US markets are looking for low cost alternatives.

That means there is a small lucrative programming services play here in Mobile Linux OS customization say using OpenMoko. True, its no the biggest market but its growing..:)

Re: http://www.avc.com/a_vc/2008/10/free-vs-paid.html

It can work.
