Maybe it would be easier if the system designates certain abilities once you are an active-enough participant of the community.

Our anti-spam has gotten much, much better recently. The issue hasn't been with bots, but it has been with people creating accounts, verifying them, and continuing to spam SEO-type messages.

They're real people and they're manually posting this comments. Sometimes they even read the post and respond legitimately, only to sign it off with a link to a spammy website. It's weird and a very sad.

We are trying to curb this without making the barrier higher for real, actual people to engage in communities, and that's the tricky part.

I thought Heath Ledger would be a great Joker. Not because I could see him portraying the character (it was hard to imagine, and it's still impossible for me to see Heath underneath), but because I knew Ledger was an amazing actor.

I really enjoyed the Spider-man movies, or at least the first 2. I'm a huge Spidey fan and the movies were fun and stuck to the mythos well. But I never liked Tobey as Peter Parker. I still don't know why and I was never able to place my finger on it. Just didn't like him. He had this quirky, nerd quality that wasn't likable. Parker was a geek, sure, but Tobey made him annoyingly so.

Yes, reactions does work with shortened URLs. There is a current bug where reactions won't show if you change your article permalink. We're working on fixing this.

This is due to a privacy setting with Facebook.

Of course. If nothing is set, Gravatars will always be used if available.
