Nothing against Friedel, but, Keller was the much better keeper. When you put a 6'4 guy with that kind of athleticism in the goal, it's an amazing thing. I followed Keller since his University of Portland days, and his ability always amazed me... His achievements in Europe and the US National teams' victory over Brazil (in the Gold Cup) deserve a great deal of respect.</p><p>Friedel and Howard are very good keepers. The MLS has tremendous sponsorship and is doing well with projections that the attendance will surpass the NHL and NBA in average attendance once the Sounders FC join the league. If the Sounders FC owners want to take a chance on a player that is their right.</p><p>* Freddy was a clutch player on Arsenal, and his most recent injury basically happened when someone jumped on his ribs. He's healed now.</p><p>* The Mexican teams such as Pachuca did not fare so well in the Super Liga tournament this year.
