Swap-able battery
2. AMOLED screen
3. Additional memory card

I can't believe more people didn't take advantage of a second battery on the Galaxy S5 - I use mine all the time. Use one battery all day at work, then swap out the 38% battery (or whatever) for the 100% battery in 45 seconds before going out for the night.

Re: Winning the Cancer War: Start With the Deepest Intelligence

An interesting article, but I stumbled over an odd choice of words that usually sets off alarm bells for me in scientific writing: "exquisite God-given sophistication" - why not leave it at "the evolutionary power and exquisite sophistication of our immune systems"?

Re: Is having a 'removable X' or not a deal breaker for you? I can't argue with that Ryan - there must be reasons Samsung gave up on replaceable batteries, afterall.

It just makes me more 'exotic' then... I love station wagons, drive a manual transmission, AND have a replaceable battery phone. :-)

Re: Is having a 'removable X' or not a deal breaker for you? If so, would you consider a phone without future-X in the future?

Nothing better than running one battery down to 9% during the day, then spending 30 seconds to swap in a new 100% battery to head out after work. Samsung should have included a second battery in every phone they sold - once people actually used it once or twice I bet a lot more people would have been convinced. (It was $44 I think.)

Re: Apple Is More Like a Band than a Company

The band idea is interesting.

But is Apple like an 80's band that keeps playing the same ageing songs to the same ageing fans, year after year? Bands that never take a risk or reinvent themselves but instead release album after album of similar songs?

Or is Apple like a true musician that plays the music they want to play -- now, previous hits and audiences be damned? (Sting is the first example that comes to mind - leaving The Police and moving onto a varied musical career.)

Re: Samsung To Release An All-Metal Smartphone

I don't get the draw of metal. My Galaxy S2 lasted years, without a case, and now my new S5 feels solid and light. I guess for playing music in the car, or watching videos that might work, but I can't imagine walking around with a phone all wired up like that. I just bought the 'Extra Battery Kit' for the Galaxy S5. I realize there are cases with batteries, but that increases the size and weight of the phone. It disappears once in a while from the network, but other than that it has worked as expected.
