Before my Dansko shoes store went out of business, I was competing with Zappos. You can't compete on price when they offer free shipping both ways - you just can't. And now it will move to other products...

Yep, the death of the conventional newspaper is now upon us. My neighbor is a local newspaper editor and just lost his job after 30 years. It's eerily similar to what I went through with our local retail store 10 yrs ago due to online sales. I had to convert my little shop to an internet retail store and sell our Dansko clogs that way. Very difficult and very costly.
