Sad to read this. All of this uncertainty really sucks. I have no doubt you will land on your feet as quickly as you wish. Which leads me to this... You really never have had a hiatus between gigs before?!? That’s amazing and sad in a way. As someone who has had a few hiatuses in the past, the first thing I thought when I read your news was this: It’s the start of summer!

If one must have a hiatus, shorts weather (I remember that post) is a big bonus. Good luck mate.

The stock Apple earbuds are a joke. Free replacements are the least they could do. I have these Bose earbuds and LOVE them.

Great write-up! As you can see the youtube example video you made looks terrible thanks to the compression that Apple has forced on exporting from iPhone. TIP?

Use pixelpipe to distribute full HD video to any site you want. The iPhone app is back in the App store too.

The app is kind of ugly UI wise and there is no support for it but it gets the job done:

This write up should be corrected. The new iPhone is not doing 4G speeds. AT&T doesn't have a 4G network in the near term.

Agree with your assessment.

I was very impressed with how quickly you can change 'contexts' from twitter to face book to a twitter search simply by swiping. Makes this app very useful.

I love evernote but I do find the iPhone app less than useful and crash prone. It's so slow trying to get to the right note. Wish it were not this way....

yup. that was the missing step for me:

Go to buzz in gmail, then click "X connected sites" and it should show up in the list there for you to add.

now it works but a youtube embed didn't come over correctly. just the text. oh well...

just a note that adding the html in the custom css area didn't work for me. i added it to the text box for my user profile and that worked. can you be more specific when you say:

After this you just need to add it to Buzz the same way you do with google reader.

what the recent facebook UI change did that really annoyed me to no end was remove the ability to setup the default view as one of our predefined lists.

it used to work so well. i would pop into facebook and see the people i needed to see by default. now i have to get onto facebook, click friends, and then click the list that should have been used as the default view from the beginning.

sigh....
