Anyway, thanks for clarifying. The point is, the government opened up bandwidth for the 3D broadcast but are you saying they didn't have to?

I have to say, I'm generally not technically minded in this respect and I prefer to focus on the business cases, government requirements and, most of all, audience enjoyment.

If they only broadcast a 3D image and the 2D receiver decodes it, won't that mean the image is shifted to the left or the right slightly?

You reckon correctly. I didn't watch Baby Faced Killer. I meant to put in a line about suspecting that it all might be part of the same series.

Channel 9 call it a "seven-part documentary-drama series" in their media release. Ordinarily a series like this would have eight parts.

Did you watch the Carl Williams one? Was it any good or did it just stink of crime profiteering?

A good point and well made. I really wanted to focus more on the differences between creating content for the web and TV and why those differences were there.

I think Dan's approach was really interesting. Get writers to create sketches on a theme. Create those sketches and see what does and doesn't get passed by the client.

There are so many more ads in the campaign that don't involve redheads. A lot of them are really funny and knowing that the client rejected a whole lot of other ideas, I'd like to see what they were too.

I don't think any of us thought it was funny. The end message was why does Fiona O'Laughlin get hauled over the coals for a tasteless comment like that but Sam Newman can continue to be Sam Newman? And why weren't Fiona's comments edited out of the show?

Bindy Irwin is in the public eye and people are going to say dumb things about her, criticise her, mock her and applaud her. That was the Irwin's choice, whether or not you agree with it.

While I don't agree with Nelly's point that parents who put their children in show business are necessarily bad parents (was the inference I made), I don't think her comments deserve threats of violence.

Nelly's daughter is neither in the public eye nor in show business. She'll have plenty of dumb things said about her in the school-yard when that time comes. That's where most children get their unfair criticism. I don't think she deserves, or has been placed in a position to receive, critical threats of violence, metaphoric or otherwise, in a public forum.

Mords, you make a great point about the Vizard (or Clive) v Kennedy battle. I *had* forgotten about that.

Also, I was so upset to forget Bill Carter's name. I think he's a brilliant TV commentator but was adamant to just power on through the segment.

We have, in the past, reviewed his also excellent Desperate Networks, which is definitely worth checking out.

I'm sorry you didn't like it, Bolden. We've had a lot of positive feedback about that interview. Although, I'll admit, none from anybody calling themselves "lame@getfucked.com".

We hoped to get across information about how aware contestants are about what they're going through with these shows. I haven't had a chance to listen back to the episode so I don't know if we succeeded.

We hear a lot about manipulation of characters in Reality/Extreme Gameshows but on Boxcutters we've never spoken to anyone who has actually spent several weeks in a house with no outside stimulus.

If the contestants feel that they have grown and learnt something from the experience, then does it really lack moral value?

The concept of the show, especially in the US, is largely exploitative. What compels someone to put themselves up for that sort of exploitation?

I would hope that there is a difference between what the Corin and Jenna said on our show and what they would say on breakfast radio.

Or maybe I've misunderstood you. Maybe you loved our interview with Corin and Jenna but hated the one with Marc Fennell from Hungry Beast.

I am going to look at Warehouse 13 if only because I've heard all the science is accurate (and that's a rarity). Sometimes the Mai-Tai network produce good work but I have to say I was originally sceptical about another X-Files cc.
