You used "CAPTCHA" - which is easily avoided by competent bot authors (ie solved in 0.05 seconds)? You should be using F5 Shape, Kasada or Akamai - CAPTCHA is outdated and the user experience is crap.

Did you read pages 6-11? Specifically pages 9 and 10 that state the engineering and manufacturing data that was stolen? Also - no matter if it is "recruitment docs and not stealing of tech" it's still intellectual property developed and owned by Tesla.

All of this theft is illegal.

I am glad to see the safety features coming to the Sport versions, although they should offer them as paid additions to all models. Safety should not be available only in premium models.

It’s something Nespresso, their machine manufacturers and the retailers don’t tell you. The Vertuo machine locks you into using only their certified pods - they put a barcode on the pods that the machine reads every time to confirm it is an official pod.

We should all tell companies that this isn’t acceptable and is anti-consumer.

The best way to do this is not buy one of these machines and return it if you have one already.

Hi - I know they don’t officially release numbers themselves, but if this is based on VIN registrations why isn’t the Tesla Model 3 on the list for “Medium Cars over $60,000” - supposedly nearly 3000 cars since August until now? Be great if you could confirm.

So after checking the video - it is clear the driver of the Tesla lifts their foot off the accelerator at the last minute allowing the Jaguar to win.

Anyone that’s driven a Tesla knows regen braking kicks in when you lift your foot and automatically lights the outer brake lights.

I may be wrong but from what I can tell Sony has apps that are not available in Google Play for their Android TV's.

I thought Amazon Prime Video was one of these.

Anyone with non Sony Android TV's able to confirm one way or another?

Yep I've had this often. The worst is when I'm multi tasking while on a work phone call to get some info from mail or messages and the phone completely locks up disconnecting the call too. Have to hard reboot and a few minutes before getting back on a call.

Completely random though - above example is when it impacts me badly.

TBH I'm back on an iPhone for the moment until I'm notified the problem is fixed - it became that bad for me.

They work brilliantly. Power adapter is 110-240V out of the box. Originally I considered a US to AU adapter, but the old trick of gently bending the pins to angle them for Australia means the adapter plugs straight into the wall.

I've posted a list of links (you can google them yourself) of ANZ talking about Apple Pay and one claiming increased credit card signups since Apple Pay launch. Disqus shows this needs to be approved before it will show.

Here's a quote from Matt Boss at the ANZ:
“We’ve seen volumes come up quite a bit. We’ve also seen engagement of passive or disengaged customers come up. Last month, we had our highest net customer growth we’ve had in the past several years ... so there’s really good flows ... and real habit- forming behaviour take place with our customers.”

Another quote:
"ANZ chief executive Shayne Elliott said at the bank's interim results last week that online credit card applications were up 20 per cent since the deal with Apple was announced on April 28."

I'll leave it to the lawyers to decide if it's anticompetitive.

My personal opinion (which obviously differs from yours - but I would never claim that you're wrong!) is that alternatives are available for the function; which is contactless payment.

Also Google do provide an API - so a call of anticompetitive can only be pointed at Apple.

The browser comparison is interesting to consider but Apple does not have a considerable (ie 80-90%) market share advantage unlike Microsoft at the time of that judgement.

One other point I'll make on Google and Apples behalf; the banks have no "right" to get access to the NFC chip in a hardware device designed and manufactured by another company.

The banks have alternate ability to provide contactless payment - NFC cards, NFC stickers etc - Apple & Google don't make these.

IMHO if they want to use someone else's hardware; pay the price of entry, or make your own phone or device.

This is definately a complex issue. I do believe however that the banks are in a losing situation.

ANZ has seen a massive increase in customers over standard growth moving to them since they launched Apple Pay.

Whether Android or iOS, if ANZ can utilise these systems to their advantage and offset any fee Apple, Google or Samsung charges into their account fees etc, this provides the bank with a world class wallet that they then have front row seats to help improve.

It also means a better user experience for their customers, something many of these banks claim to provide but rarely deliver.

I personally would trust the security of a wallet system used and abused globally like Apple & Google's, over anything a small bank (in the scheme of things) could develop themselves.

I have the eero wireless running perfectly here in Australia. Best WiFi I've ever used. Don't think Google will have me moving over, but will keep an eye out for an in depth review.

The Telstra 24/7 app won't let you login. I've also had some random crashes of Google Inbox and get some errors with some VPN apps.

I'd have to disagree with your link-bating statement "Excited? Don't be".

As an owner of an imported Roku unit, I can unequivocally state that Telstra has made an excellent choice in platform. Roku have an amazing software interface that is easy for non technical users where TBox, Android TV, Samsung smart TV etc interfaces aren't.

The app ecosystem on Roku is also amazing, giving you an eclectic mix of mainstream services (looking to be augmented with Telstra's apps) as well as unique offerings around small targeted audiences (podcasts, niche content etc)

I'd expect the box will come in around $99-$129 (based of competitive boxes and how much the vanilla Roku is in the USA). This is my only area of concern as Telstra aren't always great at pricing things.

Everything else is understood - it's a box that brings all of the streaming services to your TV for the first time. Streaming services use internet bandwidth. Cord cutters are already aware of this so we compensate with larger internet plans. Anyone that buys it will need to be aware of the impact on their internet.

Welcome to the future. Is it perfect? No. But in a world where people want to watch what they want to watch when they want to watch it, it is far more compelling than cable/satellite TV.

Actually it should be "fuel stations", not "petrol" or "gas". Then we cover everyone that uses fossil fuels to power their vehicle (petroleum, diesel, lpg etc).
