I don`t doubt the new Pres will be surrounded by wise knowledgable advisors , but whereas I know Sen.Biden has in him to understand, grasp , make the decisions however unpleasant for him, I somehow doubt very much Palin has the ability, wisdom, humility to face the challenge.

If our next president is-hopefully- Sen. Obama , the 5th November newspaers should run articles titled : The Year the Republican chickens came to roost.
2008 saw the worst-ever ticket the GOP offred to Joe public.
Choosing a white- again ???? Vietnam hero again ??? OLD- again ??? senaqtor of 20-somethimng years standing with an aknowledged joe-six packs- hockey mum- you`re kidding !, barely learnt in international politics -what ! unmercifully aware of what are a Veep responsabilities , but dumb enough to pander to the worst instints of a mob, bringing populism to heights our country had mercifully been protected for decades, marked by poor ethics as a Governor of State, who is unable to utter a decent intelligible sentence when facing a normal journalist-mark that I did not write an astute journalist, simply able to the barest of sentences to fawning voice-speakers as Hannity who got his diploma from Goebbels Uni.. BUT THAT IS NOT ALL; again and again the GOP has turned his back to intelligent minorities, calle them blacks cqll them mormons- the GOP has believed the sirens of talk radio hosts who are self-appointed themselves as the Chosen Ones whio have abused the decent Republican voters...and guess what the chicken have come to roost.
When you forger that the USA are multi-racial, multi-cultural-multi-fath-based, when you think you gain by mention race and religious creed rather than a decent political program, when your behaviour errs on the borders of thetrical antics as suspending one`s campaign because of money worries for God sake, but cant do during WW2 or Vietnam, when you chose to right an old wrong, by writing a new wrong against a community i.e. the Mormons who to my knowledge are still americans, still pay taxes, go to school and enlist or Musllims or blacks because - OMG they are black so forever to remain 3/5 citizens.
They chose populism, they chose age and past history, versus change, hope, brains and most of all they chose entitlment over maths as in economy.
If and when the GOP wants tio win again, it got to do like Tony Blair did in `97. propose A NEW CONTRACT, A NEW LABOUR, A NEW GOP WITH FRESH FACES , FRESH IDEAS and get rid of the past and all the scum of true racist hard-core like hannity. I certainl "DONT LIKE" the Clintons, but I am not suicidal when it comes to win the GE. If you care to reda THWP entry, Obama has certainly a problem w/some white people. Calling them "racists" will not change the problem or change them for that matter. But also what matters is the standing of the US abroad, and we are being looked very keenly. While we must and will not elect a president to please the other countries, failling to elect Obama because the issue is his color is not going to endear us abroad. Possibly O. ran too early, possibly we are unable to elect an AA , possibly some of us too many of us are not clor-blind and this election may be a dangerzone. And giving other countries this message will not hep us, we are already low since iRaq, how much more low can we get. Naturally , they dont have many AA or North African or Asian ministers not to mention PM there , but this is a pb. By taking HRC as his VEEP, he would send a reassuring white message to HRC voters and she is right on spot and give the US a fighting chance. I am not sure wheter we are ready to lect an AA but sending the message we are not ready will lower us once more, not to mention the AA population who certainly did not need to be given that type of message these days and by the Democrats BECAUSE IT WILL BE PAYBACK TIME FROM THIS NICHE OF VOTERS if the message we get from WV, kENTUCKY and the GE that an AA cant be elected as the voters dont look further than his name. The simple fact some people think he is a Muslim still and the fact he is a Muslim should not be considred if we were a religion/gender/color blind society . That was the killer. She said it and it will linger and fester nowon.
SNL and most pundits have jumped on it and will tear her apart. Wright is a fool clearly we all see him on the nwes only as a ranting mad man , but Hillary ever so sober HRC who has it to bite the bullet always even if it will kill her; no one takes her for a buffoon and so if she says it, she means it. And even if a few of us and I am a Obama voter believe she did not mean it at all , just wanting to underline her strength in blue collar voters she made the boohbooh of a lifetime. She committed the social solecism any candidate who plans to be elected must not do. it is going to cost her the nomination and will leave her to campaign in Obama only in colorconscious america ...racist...alas...back waters even she deserves beter , much better. How true. I realized the extent of loving my mother when on her final days; I was ready and I would have done it doing things I rationally dont believe in and praying that even if she was dozing in hospital, at least to be alive in hospital... 18ys later I miss her as miserably as the day she died. meanwhile I grew older, possibly a bit wiser anyhow more knowledgable, our son is a grown man. A blessing in disguise. Not only HRC and her husband are training BHO to this fall battle , but at the same time, they are detoxifying the Dems from the Clintons. Just like about all the previous posts, I am at times appaled by Moveon positions, but then I dont gladly accept moveon help when my husband needed serious close protection. But then my husband was not having a sex scandal at the white house. That couple has treated the Dems as their own plaything, which it is not. Not only did we have to help getting Hillary elected (because she was his wife ????) but we are told as women we have to vote for her for the sake of sisterhood ??? and not for the sake of our country best interests but we are told she is entitled to it; are we a monarchy, or a nepotic country not to mention that if every scorned wife/cheated spouse of the US is entitled to become elected/POTUS those elections are not going to be needed for quite a long time.
The Dems called it on our head, when we accepted to cover up for a wrong doing individual, when we got goaded into payback/blackmail money into getting a spouse elected for teh simple reason, she was a spouse and worse when we found legitimate to have that spouse running for the general election when deep inside us , we felt humiliated by the behaviour of that couple. If we ever win this year, it will say a lot about the individual and solely his own achievement of BHO. i AM PROUD OF MY FELLOW DEMOCRATS BUT THOSE BIGWIGS OF OUR PARTY MUST BE SHOWN THE DOOR.
So to discover now that the sole use of the party for the clintons was to become their servant is not a big discovery. We

obama is busy collecting endorsements and probably Carville is reading the definition of Iago for the last instalment , obama has behaved in a very decent way for a very indecent debate , we were expecting better from ABC, the world is readying itself for the 2008 version of the depression , foreign affairs are to sauy the least slightly muddled up, shall we mention our trillion iraqi deficit ,one-2-3 wars going etc etc and they spoke of ....1968 miscreants and wearing a lapel, next time could we suggest they ask Obama about Sacco and Vanzetti and his opinion about witches burning in small town Salem. . SINCE WHEN THE DEMS ARE SUPPOSED TO DEBATE ON THE LINES OF RUSH LIMBAUGH ?
so while we shall leave HRC to ponder if she is a democrat , Obama better be ready for the real world of FOX-O-REILLY-Hannity and consorts.
We are waiting to see BHO tell them off, as since when wearing a lapel has nothing to do with patriotism. Occupied France was ever so blowing with patriotism yet we all know who were the good guys at the time. It is about time we have demcrats ready to call their game and stop it.
