If only producers consider a black bond, a relative unknown might be their last choice. It's too risky. The idea is new, so they want to at least cast some known face for the role.

Unfortunately movie industry is not always about what might interest audience or publishers. Sometimes it's merely a challenge for a director or a production company to demonstrate their ability in recreating some of the popular movies.
And sometimes economically speaking, they don't want to take risks, esp. ever since internet emerged , the production companies became more conservative in their choices, maybe since they can't really decide in this vast sea of information , what might be an interest of the mainstream.
I agree with your opinion, but it's really not up to us.

what's in question here is that he shouldn't apply just the name for him. it's irrelevant and confusing not to mention humiliating for some group of people. giving Uncle Tom to a character is mostly to degrade someone politically, since it strictly divides black and whites into opposition groups.
