Google FriendConnect did support Facebook Connect but Facebook disabled it, saying that it violates Facebook's Terms of Service. Obviously, they wanted to push Facebook Connect.

I think that we are seeing all of these identity platforms emerge but what we need is one open-source one. Think about it, we have:
- Google FriendConnect
- Facebook Connect
- MySpace Data availability (or whatever it's officially called)
- Twitter sign-on
- Open-ID
- Disqus
- IntenseDebate
- Google account

Did I miss anything? We need one, not all of these. And one that is open-source and not proprietary. If you ask me, I'd say it's between Google FriendConnect and OpenID.

this is OK but im NO way uploading photos by crappy e-mail Copy the way Pixelpipe dose it and let me use the built in share online app on my nokia

plus we need media uploads to e-mail as i love how i can back up my photos in my spare yahoo account

yahoo mail = unlimited space for media back ups :D

It is actually a bit more significant than that.

iPhone 3G sold in Hong Kong had always been "carrier unlocked". This latest move of Apple in Hong Kong may be a much bigger strategy change by Apple towards the whole iPhone business model.

I think OpenID is great, but I am not using it for some reasons. Some people don't like "One" concept or "Closed" things, I don't really care as long as they provide good and safe services.

interesting to me is that I stopped using IM for conversation purpose. I think my definition of "conversation" is different than yours. Our recent conversation on Twitter is qualified to me.

thats the best part off OpenID really wished every website supported it. much like i wished every online shop supported google checkout. one system for everysite should be the way. but the world is greedy and NOT Open so alass we have Closed systems secure or not.

so true but some follows on twitter i use more off a advice center for help with things if i want a conversation i use IM. twitter to me is more about idea & thought speaders than a conversation. each to there own tho
