FriendFeed API so far, so it might be where I start. You are right though on the ease side, once I found the right tools (and I'd add, finding the right tools and knowing what you're looking at is the hardest part) the rest was easy.

Automated spamming is the problem which we are trying to overcome. Disqus has worked pretty well for us.

Depends on how much you use IM, if you are a mass IM'er then this service will definitely benefit you, but the individual programs are still better overall.

It really depends on the method used in pinging GA upon a click towards an outbound link. I don't think it will be penalized by Google by pinging GA before forwarding users towards the outbound page. Many reputable blogs and sites use this trick too.
