Tesco over here often move expensive products into the area of the shelf were the special offer item would be except they have run out. They say it's just so that there are no empty spaces but the expensive stuff they put there often looks very similar to the special offer product. I nearly bought a bag of mozzarella cheese for £2.99 that I thought was on offer at .99p

What a lovely picture of you and dad - I don't have any pics like that sadly, theough I'm blessed that he is still with us after the events in Gran Canaria two years ago.

Fascinating yet chilling at the same time. I saw a`programme on TV over here recently and they showed much the same thing happening - male and female models at that! I worry what affect that this is having on young people especially.

It does sound rather fab! I have to say though that I'm happy enough with my cable service (Virgin). £30 for loads of channels, digital radio, fast unlimted fibre optic broadband and free evening & weekend phone calls. I have heard though that Virgin are about to send letters out to all users telling them that they will be sharing download info with the big entertainment companies... so bittorent days are numbered I fear. :(

A year already?! I'm shocked it's a year how time rushes by.

It's a great thing that you two do and it impresses me everytime I think of it. I think it's simply because I can't imagine doing it. I like to think I give a lot of myself to my students - whether or not they appreciate it or respect me - but to open up your home and put the needs of others before you is inspirational.

That's why I keep reading you Sean; you're an inspiration and that's a wonderful thing.

Sadly I am so wrapped up in my Small World View that I just don't have the time to look at the website and do it justice. I keep thinking that as soon as I get everywhing in my Small World sorted I can start to take in the big picture... of course that is never going to happen.

Hmm... I tend to think I would rather live in a world where NO ONE is objectified and where EVERYONE feels confident that an offer to help is accepted as such without fear that there is an ulterior motive because there is no ulterior motive.

My siblings do the same with their kids, it's silly as they are also quick to tell me that all kids need is` love! Xmas is a great example; they get themselves into terrible debt each year that they never really recover from just to buy crap that gets broken by end of January.

We are all victims of drugs, one way or another we are paying a price for them. I certainly think though that it would make much better sense to find ways to help/rehabilitate people who are found guilty of some offences.

I'm like queerskinhead - I pay them off without interest - at least I do now.
I have only one card and that's more of a security thing... when I was in college it was a race among some of the girls of how many credit cards they could have - back then you could charge something - take it back and get cash for it.

Debit cards make more sense to teach about money.. what you have is what you have - you spend it, there isn't anything more.

I find the best thing to do with credit cards is play them at their own game and exploit the buggers! I use my cards to buy stuff that is actually every day stuff like food and then I pay it off before the due date - they get none of my cash in interest and I get more time to pay. :)

I am proud of the city I live in despite my plans to leave it soon. I love that I can get on a bus and be in the centre of things in 20 mins but where I live is on the edge of the urban area and has access to lovely walks into the countryside. Being a very Victorian city we have plenty of parks and Birmingham has the reputation of having more trees than any other European city!

On a summer evening i can sit in my garden and it is quiet except for the sound of birdsong and on a clear night I can see the constellations as there is so little light pollution.

I try to ignore what goes on in Hollywood! I think women who kiss each other to turn men on are pretty sad but the men who get turned on by it are even sadder. Other than that I am all for kissing and displays of affection - there just isn't enough love in the world huh?!
