Some interesting suggestions there Tim. I think 1 and 4 would be my best bet. Although I like the cold and snow here in PA, I don't think I could stand getting in an ice bath let alone staying in for 10 minutes! Maybe, I'll try laying in the snow tonight, that work the same? :)

You can actually have as many articles as you want in the featured
section. Here is another site using anoher Theme by Woo:
http://www.mojonomic.com/. I actually wish I would have bought that 1
to customize, but oh well. The featured secction it has is pretty cool.

The reason I went with Woo was that it seems everyone uses UBD or
Revolution themes. I wanted something that is less used, plus IMO, Woo
themes just have way more options. (which can be a bad thing too)

I also switched themes this weekend, lol. I bought a theme from WooThemes over a month ago and finally worked on it yesterday. I'll keep tweaking things when I have time, but I pretty like how it is now. Not as many options for ads, but thats ok with me fornow.

I wanted to thank Tim and Market Leverage for the roll up usb keyboard I won from last months contest. I got the email from Tim this afternoon.

Hey Tim,

Thanks for the link to the landing page, Ill put that one in my templates folder also. I also wanted to comment on all of the affiliate marketing info out there. It is very easy to go broke and come down with a case of "information overload" with everything there is available.

I just wanted to give Jeremy Palmer of Quit Your Day Job more praises here. I did both of his free "courses" in affiliate marketing this year. The Black Ink Project 1 and 2 and have to say the education I got from him was invaluable. He covered everything from doing a business plan and taxes to research and design. The Dreamweaver and Fireworks tips I learned from him helped me out a lot since I taught myself through trial and error on them.

He's getting ready to do another one and I highly recommend it to anyone just getting into affiliate marketing. You can post the links if you like or I will providing it is OK with you.

Just have to say that I think Motive is definitely moving in the right direction. I'm rather new to internet marketing so my experience is limited. However, I have dealt more with Motive than any other network and my affiliate manager there has been more than helpful. We have had many discussions via IM related to biz as well as just saying hi, how are you. I feel that Motive is probably about the most n00b friendly network there is.

I also did a quick review of the new Advent v2 interface on my blog and I have to say it is a huge improvement over their current panel. The 1st thing I noticed was how much faster everything loads, which with the current interface drives me crazy waiting.

The 2nd thing is the improved metrics allowing you to more accurately track all of the stats you need to keep your ROI up.

Well, I don't much rely on how many followers I have. I find as I follow new quality people and make quality tweets and replies, even more followers come. I have picked up quite a few new followers this week, just by following 1 or 2 people early on in the week and getting a conversation going with them.

Hey Trish,

It seems like Jeremy did pretty much an outline of the BIP 1 and 2 sessions in his speech. The sessions have been great for me, being new to affiliate marketing and the 2 sessions of BIP 2 dealing with designing with Fireworks and Dreamweaver were alone worth hundreds.

I was promoting the magicJack through Motive Interactive until recently when the advertiser pulled the offer. I just pulled my site down for now because it was in need of being redesigned badly. As far as I know, Hydra still has the magicJack offer, but I'm not running it through them and I don't have any other campaigns through them at the moment, so I don't think my word would carry much weight since I haven't earned them a dime yet and haven't even chatted with my manager there for I don't know how long.

I've been in SC for the last couple of months and my magicJack has worked great while I'm here.

I disagree with you not being qualified to talk about real estate simply because your license lapsed.

My biz partner and I have a house for sale that we flipped, and he has bought 4 rental properties this year alone. Are we not qualified to talk about the ups and downs of real estate? Or are you meaning some sort of "secret RE agent" reviews? :-P

You are not actually renaming your blog, just changinging the tagline? After all, by giving internet marketing advice to agents, you in reality are helping them to go beyond what MLS has to offer.

"Internet Marketing Tips and Advice for Real Estate Agents" as a tagline? or "How to advance your Real Estate career through internet marketing"?

Yeah, I'm aware that Hydra also offers the magicJack offer. I actually did test Hydras banners for about a week when I had some decent conversions happening and upon switching to Hydras banners, my conversions dropped. Not sure why.

Motive does have some growing pains, but they are working through them and I believe that they are a solid company. I have a small stream of income coming from them and they pay on time.

As for magicJack, I'm done promoting it for now, with them not allowing ppc of any form, it limits the amount of money to be made substantially. Maybe in the future when I have time and if the offer is still available through Hydra, I'll build a new site and SEO the crap outta it and try to make some more money with them.

As for the product itself, I've been in SC for over a month and the MJ has worked without a hitch while I've been here.

I'm not sure who Motive and Hydra represent in regards to promoting the
magicJack. However, you can be assured that it is in accordance with
magicJack. I had a discussion with Jim Donlon (magicJack's CMO) on the
matter and they are marketing the product through many different
channels and the "rules" just aren't getting funneled down.

I have no desire to make an investment and become a reseller. I have no
need to actually handle products to be able to make an income for myself.
