I’m interested in knowing what feature exactly prohibits the usage for some countries? I was nicely welcomed to the site saying it’s not available for India.

Secondly, nice way to advertise about “unlimited” storage in the video, but charge $60/m for 200gb of storage. I’m not saying it should be free. But how exactly is that unlimited?

On a similar note, I’d actually be willing to pay for a service that incorporates the features of the major services, but lets me use and pay for my own storage off Amazon S3 or Mosso Cloudfiles. JungleDisk and similar apps are great for mapping your storage as your drive. So I’d gladly pay if there’s a service that adds more feature to these and is sold without storage charges.

So are the Nokia BH-903. Not really washable, but they do work if you dropped them in a bucket of water and out.

Just got off the phone with iStore in Mumbai and they claim availability by Wednesday. I'll check again then. The iStore in Bangalore has been claiming that iPod touch will be available in the next 3-5 days for the last 1 month ;-).

Yes, I know because a friend recently bought one for 20K (32GB). He'd come over to set it up and damn that thing is slim.

Interesting. I've only checked with the premium resellers and the answer has been consistent. Let me check tomorrow what some of the other computer/electronics shops here say.

Not sure about the authorized Apple Dealers, but the regular dealers are already selling the device along with proper billing and paperwork.

Suddenly, I really wish I was in the US/UK. The only handsets released around here are the ones that have gone through the blurry cam spy shots, unboxing pics and vids, first impression posts, thorough reviews, dissections and then "for sale" and "for free with contract" stages.

I have seen a few apps which do have the option to switch the feature off. But I'm guessing there's no real way to do it using the SDK offered by Apple.

not really 480x800 will be the new standard for 3inch+screen.
Watch it filter though devices over the next few months.

its still not much cop for web browsing - as ive found on my eeePC and N810
which both sport that resolution.

but its way better than 320x240.

re winmob - yep - its the horrible cludge of touch flow over win mo - and the clash when they switch that is just bad bad bad. its almost as if microsoft have just given up.

Aah, same feelings. For reasons known to Lord Falkland, WinMo fails to impress me.

However, I wouldn't care about the OS when I'm explicitly talking about the screen. 480 x 800 is... *awestruck*

Over 60% of the subscribers here in India are pre-paid subscribers. The remaining post-paid subscribers pay monthly, their usage varying from Rs. 400 to Rs. 1500 per month.

There are no 'contracts' here, fortunately :)

The handsets sold here are not subsidized at all. We pay the full price of the handset when we buy it, or on EMIs. But the handset is never tied to any carrier.

And I'm more tempted with the X1 now.
